The game starts off great but soon after the game is over and you are left wondering if you blinked too quickly. The game is so engrossing and interesting, that all of a sudden the ending hits you in the face and leaves you a little baffled! I finished this game in 2-3 hours and I was in disbelief when I was taken to the main menu, I couldn't believe I finished the game. Very poor ending.... The graphics are amazing and and the plot is a good one. The HOG puzzles are good and the mini games are challenging. Overall a great game just disappointingly short...Hoping for a sequel!

Great story line; graphics. I'm not sure where the alternate ending comes in - perhaps on replay. There is a LOT of back and forth through the locations in this game and some challenges appear early on in the game but are not solved until much later. I don't know where I picked up the key and scissors, but they weren't in the shark's mouth like the hints stated - yep, I sometimes was befuddled by what to do next and had to resort to using the hints. I would recommend this game - be prepared to be challenged.

I absolutely loved this game. Graphics were spectacular. Storyline was obvious, so you didn't need to listen to all the conversation that much. But beware, there is lots of running around and many, many different portals to enter. What I liked most about this game was the thinking portion of where to go next. The HO scenes were scattered throughout your hunt, so it wasn't boring or repetitious at all. I would definitely recommend this game and I can't wait for another series.

What makes this game extraordinary is the atmosphere. A very strong feeling of impending doom is created by using excellent ambient noise (realistic sounds of a ship falling apart), parts of the ship falling around you and characters' voices crying for help. Right from the beginning you feel an urgency to get on with it as fast as you possibly can. This game draws you into story as none other I've ever played. If you're old enough to recognize the movie you know exactly what to expect, and you'll enjoy this very cinematic game. You play the wife in a family stranded on a rapidly and noisily disintegrating ocean liner. You're separated from the others, so your task is obvious. Rescue the others and get off the ship. I found the graphics great, and the map essential - there are a lot of locations. Though others complained about its length it took me several hours to complete. I did have to use the walkthrough more than I'd have liked, but thank goodness it was there. The gameplay was logical enough, although at times you do have to think outside the box. I'd say that trying would be a great idea, if only for the unusual experience.

This game was very good. I kept going back to finish the game. The only complaint that I have is that it is way too short. Great graphics and storyline.

This game was pretty good. It only took me 3 hours to complete so it went pretty quickly, but it was interesting and the storyline helped to enhance the play.

Great graphics, clear and colorful. Ho's just right, not to easy or to hard. Had to use the strategy guide a few times. I got lost. I think I'm spoiled with the interactive maps and maps that give me some info. This one didn't do it for me. I wasn't really sure sometimes where or what to do next. But I did finish the game. Storyline was pretty good also.

This game was interesting and fun to play, but it seemed to end just as I was getting the hang of it. Having a strong female protaganist was great, but I think the shipwrecked and trapped family concept could be disturbing for younger kids. The music is really loud even surprisingly when on mute!

I found the game relatively easy. I did not have to use any hints at all. That isn't saying it wasn't fun, which it was still fun and a good game. A little too short for my taste, but that did not deter me from getting involved in the HO's and puzzles with enthusiasm. Now, if there were some more family members to rescue (hey, let's throw in some uncles and/or aunts, too), it would have made the game longer, and it would have been a 5-star rating. The graphics were excellent. Especially with all that bad weather and the ship falling apart. Dialogues were short, which I would normally like, but the dialogue and interaction with other characters were a little too short for the gameplay. Overall, a nice smooth game that keeps your interest, but doesn't overwhelm you with really hard and frustrating challenges. THANKS !!!!

The start of this game is pretty challenging, and sets up the scenario for you as to what you will have to do, namely rescue your husband and two children from various parts of a sinking ship. The puzzles are well thought out and lead you to the next bit of the story and the hidden object areas always have items which you need later in the story. I had a great time figuring out how to save the son and husband but saving the daughter was a bit of an anticlimax as it was a much shorter and easier process than the other two. Overall I enjoyed it and found it challenging but wanted just that little bit more for that final rescue mission. The prequel that unlocks when you finish is a nice fillip.

I played the basic edition of this game a couple of years ago and struggled with knowing where to go next and what to do. Since it had been two years, it was like starting from scratch. The scenario grabs you from the beginning, and the sounds coming from the ship are relentless. After the first hour or so the sounds became a bit irritating, but certainly served to continually remind you of the urgency of the situation. The HO scenes and mini-games were very well done, although I admit to having to use a hint or two for more obscure objects. The guide made the game a good deal more enjoyable, as I could easily look up what to do next if I was stuck. The game play for both the son and husband was realistic and believeable. However, when it was time to rescue the daughter, there was almost nothing to do. And then when they were aboard the chopper, the husband magically appeared saying he had been rescured out of the water. Right. For a game that seemed well thought out for the first two-thirds, it was a disappointment that the last third was more-or-less written off. And the proffered alternate ending was silly. There was nothing to do but watch it. The prequel did not explain how the kids wound up separated from Dad, and here again there was little to do. A lot of potential here with a disappointing finish. But still a challenging HOG.

I enjoyed playing "Nightmare on the Pacific". The Hidden Object scenes were excellent, some of the best that I have seen. I like playing games with a melodic soundtrack, but the sounds for this game were different, as the authors tried to give a different feel to it. Not bad. As with most games, the story line leaves a little to be desired, especially with Mom's super hero feats. But, all things considered, I felt that I got my money's worth.

Pro: - Good graphics/sound - Interesting and suspenseful plot - Fine HO, puzzles, & tasks Con: - Short playtime, even with watching alternate ending & play the prequel - Happy, but anti-climatic ending - Some objects in HO are tiny and blur - Small view even in Fullscreen mode - Not good replay Conclusion: Ok to play with FunPass, but not really worth buying. May not be suitable for young children

Not my cup of tea. The combination of the small screen and very annoying sound effects took the fun out of it.

I love games that are not just hidden object but challenging as well. This game was really addictive and well worth the time. I really enjoyed the Platinum Edition with the bonus material. I am glad it comes with the strategy guide because I had to use it a couple of times. If you like games that involve strategy instead of just your run of the mill HO then you will enjoy this game.

This game was a relatively quick play, but the story was compelling and unique. You have to keep moving around to find where you need to go, and there aren't a lot of hidden object games. Graphics are good. The mini-games are not too difficult. Very enjoyable and worth the play. Did the prequel (there are some activities to do there as well) and watched the alternate ending.

This game was fun! I really enjoyed it. The ending was a bit a let down, but that's okay. You really have to think and get yourself through the ship!

This is another great game. Again the download time is quite awhile, but its due to the great graphics and sound. I purchased the game after playing the trial as i feel as though its one I will want to play again, without using the handy users guide. I don't want to give anything away, so I will just say this is a good game without any download issues.

This is a nightmare! My family's somewhere out there in the dark - lost and possibly dead. I'm cold. Colder than I've ever been. The ship's about to go down - it's burning, there's debris everywhere. I have to go on, even though, I'm terrified. Will we survive this horror? Oh wait, it's not real, it's a game! I'm okay. Not all wet and cold. Okay, so I exaggerated. But, this game feels pretty real. I enjoyed playing it for the two seconds that it lasted. Well, I exaggerated again - it was longer than 2 seconds but, either I was so engrossed that the time passed quickly or...it was short. Other than that, I had a good time - if running around panicked can be considered fun. The premise is that your cruise ship has sunk, split in half, is on fire AND flipped upside down. Your family is all over the remains of the ship and you need to rescue them. You do this by searching, killing sharks, smashing through walls and running all over the place, with a few traditional hidden object scenes thrown in for good luck. I know it doesn't sound like it, but, believe me, this madness is fun. It would have gotten 5 stars if the family had been larger and I could have searched a bit longer. Ah well...
