"Treasure in a Royal Tower" is ok. Not one of the best in the series. The story wasn't too heavy or involved. I wasn't surprised by much. Movement is point and click, which can be frustrating. The graphics were decent, the scenery is nice. (The floorplan bore a resemblance to "Curse of Blackmore Manor", which made me chuckle.)

I keep forgetting why I don't like Nancy Drew games. It's the aimless wandering with no direction, going down a hallway passing one door after another which all look exactly the same. No hints !!! It took longer to load this game than the time I spent playing it. Not for me. I hope you enjoy more than me.

If you are used with the Her Interactive's top game Nancy Drew, then you Know what I am talking about. I have been played all of the games from the series and comparing with the other one, this one of the nicest game. I know it's a little old and the graphics aren't the newest ones, but still the fun of the game is unaffected. If you haven't played a Nancy Drew game yet and you like adventure and hidden object games, I say: "On which planet you have been living?" It's addictive, I am counting the hours till the launching the nest one, my LIFE is spinning around this game! Sooo....you should try it. (it's for experienced players)
This Nancy Drew game is quite challenging and I would only suggest it to users that have played the Nancy Drew games before. Other than the difficulty of the game I found it had great puzzles and it wove together education of the French revolution really nicely. In case you didn't know, each ND game focuses on something educational (i.e. French Revolution, Edgar Allen Poe, the times of 1920's) and this game does a nice job of this. I must warn you, be careful you know what operating system you have, because for some THE GAME WILL NOT WORK. Because this game is so old, newer systems may have trouble opening and working the game.
I found it very slow to respond and frustrating. It would just stop responding, and then start again for no apparent reason. The buttons that you click have to be touched in a particular place or it does not respond. It is the fastest I have ever decided NOT to get the full edition.
