This is my least favorite of the Nancy Drew games. There are puzzles that seem impossible to complete without help from a walk-through, and I'm an experienced ND player. I also found it annoying that you could only go outside on a limited basis (when the weather/time allowed) Overall, it was plenty challenging and I liked the look & feel of the lodge. Maybe a bit TOO challenging. ;)

I enjoy mystery games like the Nancy Drew titles, and this one wasn't bad, but I didn't find it to be one of the best. I found the ending very disappointing (totally hated the chase scene, which did not work for me the way walkthroughs said it would, and after a half hour of endless chasing without any "timer" ever appearing or ever seeming to run down, despite being right on the culprit's tail). The rest of the game play was challenging puzzles mixed with tedious tasks that were important for a small number of clues, but then became boring because it was Nancy's "job" to do them until the game was nearly finished. Bottom line, what I liked, I like a lot. What I didn't, frustrated me. Thus a medium rating.

Great game! Good graphics and addictive playing. It is really challenging, and I just wish I had had the patience to stay out of the walkthrough guides. Definitely do recommend Nancy Drew games.

This game rocks! The graphics are the best I've ever seen from a gamehouse game. Everything is so realistic, you feel like you actually are uncovering a mystery. The storyline is intriguing as you get to know all the characters living in the lodge, each of them being a possible suspect. Definitely get this game. It's at times like this when a Funpass is worth it, because otherwise you would be paying $20 for one of the Nancy Drew games at Wal-Mart, where you can all of them for FREE at gamehouse.

I found this games storyline, mini-games/puzzles very challenging and quite good! This game is unique in how Nancy works as the maid and chef. She/You have to do that work and solve the mystery! Loved it. It was different and a little faster in it's pace! Great game and worth playing again! All of the character's were well developed and would keep you guessing; thinking all were definitely suspects! This one is definitely not one to pass over. If you have the FunPass...definitely's a great value and unlimited game play without the ad's! Great job Her Interactive...and thank you GameHouse!

Thanks to Gamehouse and Simon & Schuster for yet another awesome Nancy Drew mystery. Lani Manella's voice and acting for Nancy Drew is perfect. Icicle Creek Lodge is set in a remote Canadian region. A white wolf has been seen in the vicinity and the wolf's haunting howls are frightening the lodgers. Nancy Drew arrives to help solve and, hopefully, stop the many dangerous accidents and explosions that have suddenly befallen this quaint resort lodge. Intriguing history, creative story line and lots of fun puzzles entitles this game to FIVE STARS! Nancy Drew puts her super sleuthing skills to work as she cooks and cleans her way through the Lodge gathering clues and evidence. Ride a snow mobile, shovel an ice pond, walk on snow shoes, ice fish, explore hidden tunnels and enjoy funny snow ball fights with Ollie's young daughter, Freddie. Relax in the sauna after a long day of sleuthing, however, beware, mystery and danger abound. In depth research, hard work and superb artistic ability set this game above the rest! Bravo!

This is one of my favorite games. It has a nice story with many twists, and just when you think you find the culprit, there's a surprise. The graphics is great, and playing snowball fight with the girl is easy, but fun. Good amount of playtime. The tasks and puzzles are very interesting and some require thinking and perception. For example, I did the color code of doors right, just that I didn't see the location to take the piece of puzzle after a while :P. You have to watch the temperature bar every time you go outside. If it runs out, it means Nancy gets too cold and it's 2nd chance time :P. Also, Nancy is posing as a maid, so remember the time to do the chores or you will get a good lecture. The snow shoveling task is kinda hard, but doable. If you find it frustrating, just save before you make a guessing move so you can reload it from that step. The tunnel problem where you direct Isis to run around the tunnel is very easy, but can be misleading. Here's the tips: you only direct Isis to change or keep a direction at the intersections. If there's none, Isis will keep going. Also, the brown spot means jump and the paw is required to switch the level. The ending is quite a surprise, and the snowmobile chase near the end is really intense and fun. I did crash twice before I got it right XD. Overall, I really enjoyed this one. It is recommended for those who love mystery and adventure genre, and is patience enough with the tasks and puzzles, since some of them can get you frustrated.

This game has all the things your would come to expect from a nancy drew game, good story line, fun mini games, wonderfully perplexing puzzles, funny quirks and alot of interacivity. The graphics were beautiful, and the length was good. It had enough substance that even if you had to spend alot of time figuring out a puzzle you still could do a bit of playing. I highly recommend this game!
