This is yet another older Nancy Drew game that has gotten a negative rap, and I think it's largely because people playing the newer ones have gotten used to having their hands held throughout the games with automatic entries in journals and/or to do lists, which this game has neither. You're on your own in thinking your way through this one, with the only 'help' you get being in the form of phoning Nancy's friends for a chance of asking "what do I do next?" and that option isn't always available. For those who like reasoning mysteries out for themselves, this is actually a pretty good theme and story, though it can sometimes get a little tedious rechecking all rooms and all characters to see what new information you can dredge up, when only one will generate anything new, while the others are unchanged or result in "I'll see you later." Patience and perseverance helps here. So if you're a fan of the game series and don't mind thinking for yourself, don't be afraid to give this one a try... It actually has quite an exciting end! I enjoyed it a great deal, even though it's not my favorite game of this genre.
