The game runs slightly too fast. I have another version of this game which is truer to the original in speed and graphics, and it runs smoother - and slower. I prefer the other version I have, but if someone doesn't have it at all, then this one is pretty good. Slow it down just a tad, and it would be perfect.

I am reviewing this based on the fact that it is the best computer version of Pac-Man I've seen yet. It's true to the original arcade classic, and the controls are intuitive. I think most people are familiar with Pac-Man and know whether they enjoy the game or not. If you like Pac-Man, you should like this version of the game. As for other reviewers' comments on the controls... it's the nature of the beast. Most people use a keyboard for PC games and not a joystick. The game is what it is, and I don't think the programmers could have done anything better. Any other keyboard controls would probably be obnoxious to the vast majority of users. (On a side note, I DO have a joystick, and I used it with this game for authenticity purposes... but I also used the keyboard controls and had no problem.)

I played Pac-Man back in the 80's on large stand alone arcade machines & loved it, BUT, 30 years later I only was able to tolerate 14 minutes before exiting. I found I was SO over it! Maybe my fingers aren't as fast & the arrow keys don't work as well as a joystick but I got tired of being surrounded & chomped with nothing to show for it but cramping digits. Some things are better left to fond memories than nostalgic revival - especially with today's superior computer gaming.

I've loved this arcade game ever since I was a child and having it available to play on my computer is priceless.

This game is NOT for the arthritically challenged as I have RA (rheumatoid arthritis). Smile and a "believe it or not" but I can type about 100 words a minute as that is actually all I do all day long at work is type. The reason you (Gamehouse) see so many reviews from me... I love to play games and type. This game however is way too much madness using the arrow keys on the keyboard to play as there is a huge difference in my opinion anyway between "typing" words and using "arrow keys" to navigate in a game. This game is much better played using a joystick/arcade machine as I use to play this hours on end back in the 80's and I didn't have RA back then . Yes I'm a die hard fan of some things from "the 80's" like movies, music, and yes even Pac-Man. Actually 80's music is pretty much all I listen to. "Pac-Man" however as much as I loved playing it back then and actually really looked forward to playing it again when I saw it offered here but just way too much arrow key trying to navigate madness for me and that's my reason for 3 stars. If I would of been able to play this I would of given it a 5 star rating. So as much as I'm a die hard "Pac-Man" fan I would have to agree that it's better left in the past because it's not good computer play.
