help a charming seaside town in this new chapter of the hit hidden object series
explore 25 charming seaside locations for over 2,220 cleverly hidden items
solve six unique mini-games including Mahjong, Match 3 and Jigsaw
locate hidden Lobsters and Keys to unlock two bonus game modes
I love the line of Mystery PI games, and this is no exception. My kids loved helping me find the key/camera/lobsters found within every single level. As always, I enjoyed the pictures and the story line. The best part about the PI games is unlocking the bonus levels and replaying over and over. There are also a number of interesting mini-games within.

I found this game very repettive, having to go back to the same place and just look for more hidden objects time and time again. It wasn't challenging enough for me. I prefer something where you have to think about where you have to go next. I would not play this game again and would not buy anymore of the same series, way too boring for me.

Hooray for you, GameHouse! You beat another big game portal to the punch by a day! Glad you did! This one is yet another goodie from PopCap and SpinTop! Nothing has really changed from all of the developer's previous games. Is that a bad thing? No way! Just like the predecessor "Mystery P.I." and "Amazing Adventure" games, we've got a straight-up H0G, with some pretty easy mini-games in between. The sound FX are the same, the graphics are better than ever, but, I have to admit, the Hidden-Object scenes are more challenging than b4. The Hint system and the Point system both work the same way; choose "Timed" or "Relaxed" mode--more "points" if you beat the "timer." I've been looking forward to this next "installment" for quite a while now--it doesn't disappoint if you're a fan of these classic "seek-and-find" games! Regards, elldee (P.S. So, when can we expect "Big City Adventures--London"?--60 days, and 60 days, and 60 days--I'm not getting any younger, you know!).
Same old Mystery P.I. game. Looks exactly like the first one I ever played years ago. You'll love this one if you are a HO purist. Not for me. Very boring.

There are times when I want to play a more relaxing type of Hidden Object game, rather than one which contains a complex mystery and much back and forth journeying to retrieve inventory items, solve puzzles etc. The Mystery P.I. series, including this release, fill that need nicely. Counterfeit Cove is just right--a mix of relatively easy hidden objects with some quite difficult ones mixed in. The storyline is straightforward and fun. I've been playing the trial version and am very pleased so far. So when you feel in the mood for a Hidden Object game but don't particularly want or need one that is very cerebral, this is a good and relaxing choice. PopCap has come through again with another addition to a great series!
After playing this one a few minutes, I had to check to be certain it really was a new release. The game looks and feels like something that would have been released 5 or more years ago. Not that it's a bad game, it just feels dated. Small file, quick to load, but then play is clunky. The match-3 takes forever to get icons to drop and doesn't allow you to make matches while icons are dropping - so you make a match then wait, make a match then wait. Sigh. The hidden object screens are clear, items are sometimes a bit of a puzzle "aid in walking" = cane which adds some interest. Overall this would have been a good release in 2005, but appears clunky and dated compared to other current releases. Not worth full price in my opinion.
For a few hours of just plain old searching for HOs and solving puzzles, the Mystery PI series are right up your alley. I always tell myself that these games are all the same but yet I feel compelled to download them and give them a try. I did, however, discover something quite by accident in this one that I never knew existed in the other games in this series - a secret object in every scene that adds 1 million points to your score and now I think I need to go back through all the other games in this series. All in all it's not a bad game. The graphics are very good and I did like the fact that the designers extended the "put the eggs in the basket" type of search into more than just the first 2 dozen or so scenes. I know when you have a winning formula it's usually best to stick with it but it looks and feels exactly like all its predecessors - as one reviewer put it, it feels dated and stale. The length of the game is good and I do believe it has some good replay value since a second time around gives you a different set of objects to search for. If you liked the other games in the series then you'll like this one.
Enjoyable, not too stressful for the end of a busy work day. Hard to stop playing!

I love hidden object games and most are frustrating at some point. This one is challenging but lets you have hints when you need them.

I liked it but it was a little boring! Much like the rest of the series, good HOG, but I like more of a story with a bit of dialog.

This is a quality three-star game. I only gave three stars because of the repetiveness and lower level of challenge. However, having said that I would play it again for the pure fun and relaxation. It is the perfect game for hidden object game geeks who want just the right amount of challenge without bending their brain. (Sometimes I like the brain benders!) Easy, but not too, too easy, laid-back and relaxing. Very enjoyable to play.
This game is as good as all of the Mystery PI. It has all the same features . The location was nice. The 25 hidden objects are easy to find and that is another quality that the game series has. One of the best Hidden Object game.

I've played all of the Mystery PI games, and this one is the best - most of the games in the series are good for beginners to HOGs, and are relaxing since all of the objects can be found in well under the time limit allowed and the unlimited Hint button refreshes quickly. Counterfeit Cove has the most colorful scenes and better graphics than the earlier games, and typically 8 out of 10 objects in each scene can be found easily, with 2 others requiring a closer look or a hint. There are 25 levels with 4-5 scenes in each level so you'll see scenes more than once. The mini-puzzles are quite easy, but the final puzzle is a challenge. I recommend this game for those that want to get into HOGs but don't want a demanding clock.
This game is really additive. I didn't want to stop.

I've always enjoyed this particular series. They're easy to play, as well as being a game that you can leave for a while then go back to and not have to figure out what you were trying to accomplish when you left. Even though they usually have a pretty simple storyline it's one that can be easily followed and I've never had one that had a dark or sinister or frightening storyline like some other HO games sometimes have. Give any one of the games from the Mystery P.I. series a try. You'll enjoy it!
I have all the Mystery PI games and love playing them all. The items to find are clear, some of the wording for items to find are challenging both of us had to use hints to find meaning that,s ok gives the game more excitement, graphics are good and music is pleasant. Keep these games coming gamehouse

This game, along with all the Mystery P.I. games are fantastic! I have them all and look forward to more. I play them over and over. This is not a game that takes a lot of solving A to get to B to move on to C but is relaxing after a long day of working on the computer all day solving "real" puzzles. Keep them coming! This game is addictive, family friendly and just plain FUN!!!!!

I mostly like Match 3 games but some months back tried my luck on Hidden Object games and have found some that are enjoyable. Mystery P.I. Counterfeit Cove is my all time favorite!! The art work is refreshing and the objects CAN be found. If you cant find the object (everyone's impression is different) then there is the "Hint" selection. In some of the hidden object games you run out of hints then you are stuck..... Thats not relaxing nor is it fun....its down right frustrating. Also, on Mystery P.I. CC.....there are "different pluzzes" after each section to solve so you can move forward in the game. Delightful to play!!!! Plez create more hidden objects games similiar to this one!!!
