I am an older casual player of games and I really enjoy the Hidden Object ones, this game is just enough different to make it more fun than usual and it is easy to understand and follow. I think it it a good family game.

This game lets you decide when you can go to the next level, and is mind bogling at times but I just can't help but to like it.

kids loved this game; entertained for hours; would encourage parents to buy for 6 to 9 year old who need to practice with the mouse

I love the Mortimer series! The difference in scenes and movement from the first one to The Lost King is fantastic. It was like watching a little movie, I stayed up half the night so I could finish it just to see what happened.

I am addicted to most H.O.G. games... and this was one of my first... I think I am up to 60 games now. I have had to download it more than once because of new computers I have...but this game is great and well worth playing more than once

I am soooo addicted to this game. I already completed the Spook Manor and I just want to savor the Time Paradox because I know once I get started I'm not gonna want to stop until I have finished the game. I truly love Mortimer Beckett!

The first game (Spooky Manor) was only somewhat challenging - in my opinion, it's more for beginners - but I still enjoyed it. It had some interesting puzzles besides the hidden objects, and the music and graphics were good. The second game (Time Paradox) was much, much more challenging; I really had to use my brain! Again, it had several interesting and clever puzzles that I hadn't seen before. The graphics were well done, and the music was tailored to fit each time and location. If I had reviewed only Time Paradox, I would have given it 5 stars and rated it "Quite thinky"; but this review was for the Double Pack - which, incidentally, was a wonderful value, as well. I will play Time Paradox again, as they say the hidden objects won't be the same each time. I also look forward to playing the subsequent games in the series. All in all, I am very happy I made this purchase.
Great games! Loved them both! What a great deal to get them bundled!

I usually do not purchase hidden object games as I tend to get bored with them very quickly. After playing a limited version of Time Paradox on another website, I was somewhat interested in finding out what happens in the end. When directed to GameHouse I noticed that there was a double pack, and was compelled to purchase the pack simply because I am a "bargain shopper", plus I like games that have/are sequels. Well as usual, I became bored with the hidden object aspect of the game. I finished both games in a day. Needless to say it was a waste of my time. To the games credit, I was intrigued enough to want to know what happened at the end (perhaps because I had just coughed up $10 for the pack), but all in all the storyline was kind of weak. Also some of the items were not so much "hidden" as they were just plainly covered up! I also found that you had to click certain objects just right. There would be times I'd see what I thought to be an object, I'd click on it, and nothing would happen...or I'd be warned by the "ghost" that I was supposedly clicking randomly. After being stuck on a level for several minutes, I'd go back to the very object I clicked before only to find that it was in fact the right object, I had only clicked it in the wrong spot before. I don't know, I suppose if you like hidden object games then this game is for you. If you're like me and don't really care for them, don't be fooled...you probably will not like this one either.
This game was fun! It is a little more challenging than a lot of hidden object games!

This game is different than any of the hidden object games I've played before. I really like that you have to think and figure things out in addition to finding the hidden pieces. Also, you can take as long as you need to figure things out. No timer. Good value for the double pack. I highly recommend.

Mortimer is fun. The first game is a good introduction to Hidden Object Games & the story progresses nicely with the second game. Objects found in one place are often used somewhere else which gives the game a little additional challenge. Mini-games nice & not too difficult. Relaxing & fun. Good graphics. Nothing dark & sinister about Mortimer. Looking forward to #4 in the series.

I'm almost 60 years old with poor vision that is beyond help according to my Optometrist. I can't find these pieces. They're way too small and well hid. I used up all my hints just on the first level of both games. Limited hints belong in a livestock manure pit. I tried using my magnifying glass to find the pieces but it didn't work so I gave up without ever getting to level 2. I'm glad that I was only playing these games with my Fun Pass because I quickly deleted these games. I love hidden object games (my favorite) but Mortimer Beckett games are not for me. Out of our 17 children, 14 of which are grown, I haven't talked to any that like Mortimer Beckett games and only 1 of our grown children thus far has reached level 3 ... the rest only made it to level 1 and 2 before they lost all their hints even with 20/20 vision. Each to their own. This game is absolutely positively not for me.
All scenes said no more moves and hint items exhausted, i get stucked!

Love all the mortimer beckett games. The graphics are good and a lot of fun to play. Can't comment on the story line, as I don't read them.
