i really enjoyed the Time Paradox, so did not hesitate to buy the Lost kingdom platinum ed. Enjoyed it greatly - especially the rich backgrounds, and the hard puzzles with no prompting on solving them. Great!

very enjoyable and challanging. kept my interest to the end which came too quickly. But all in all a really good game.

I really enjoyed this game, I got the demo but it is definitely on my list to buy at some point. It looks like it might be a little short for my tastes but the chapters were really cute. You get a list of items you have to find and you have to open your map and go to several locations to find them and use items you have already found to fix something and it gives you a crown piece and you have to finish the crown. I loved it, I was totally addicted and was sad when the trial was over.
I was really excited waiting for the this edition after loving the first one. Then I got hit with the $19.99 price tag and thought "what the heck", if it was anything like the first one, it's worth it. Well... big disappointment. It wasn't. I finished it very quickly so was even more disappointed about the game after spending the money. Don't get me wrong - still fun, but there's a lot more games on this site for more value than this. It seems they put this one together quickly after the success of the first one and just couldn't do the sequel justice. Hence, the price is not equal to the experience.
This is a FUN game to play because you have to do a "little" extra thinking...but I got through the first Chapter, and half-way into the next, quck enough in my free hour! I'm not going to pay $19.99 to finish it up in another two or three hours! It's just not original, addictibve or involved enough. I would have given it a better rating if it were more involved or had good replay value, and a better price. Some of the other games that have come out lately, i.e...Enlightenus, Natalie Brooks - Mystery at Hillcrest High and a few others, are a MUCH better value! I just don't see why I should pay for all the advertising they've done when the game just didn't live up to all the "hype!" In today's economy I just can't see paying such a high price just for the graphics, a puzzle game and a cheat sheet (that you can find for free all over the internet at some point!) Just not worth it, sorry GameHouse!
Way too easy and short. Will be good for kids. I was hooked after the trial time so I went ahead and purchased the game but who knew I had already almost finished the game. I was disappointed I spent $19.99 for and hour of game play! For free it was good but it was a waste of money!!!

I was looking forward to this game, especially after the months of hype; so, I was sorry to see that although the graphics are very good, the story is quite simple and the game itself is very short. Too bad.

I don't think this game was worth $ 19.95. It wasn't long enough for that kind of money. I have played alot of hidden games and I can tell you i was very disappointed.

as one of the first games i have tried, this one was the best so far. I brought me back to the computer a number of times to see where it was going and how i was going to get there!!

I'd never played a Mortimer Beckett game before this one, and now I've downloaded the previous ones to play once I've finished this one! I love the graphics, I like the story and thoroughly enjoy playing this game. It's one of those games that before you've even finished it the first time you just know that you'll be playing it all the way though again! There's no timer on the levels so you can take as long as you like searching for the items, the tutorial is good and informative, and in generally it is a very good game that is worth it's money.
Oh dear, Not as good as the first two. Too easy for true Mortimer fans - seemed to finish just as quick as it started. Would be okay for kids to sit and play with a bit of help. Objects are too easy to find and the concept of working out what to do with the objects is too easy also. They've just missed the concept of what we fans liked in the last two games. Saying that, I don't think it deserves one star as some reviewers have put as there are worse HO games out there than this. I just think it was the disappointment of what we got as the third installment of what was a brilliant game. I did enjoy it, but wanted a lot more. If you like HO games where you find an object and work out what to do with it whilst jumping between locations and finding different rooms to search for more puzzles and objects, then go for it.
Addictive, yes. I don't think it was quite as difficult as the last one, but it was still fun nonetheless and enjoyed it very much. Still my favorite 'hidden object' series.

Very good puzzle game, well worth the wait. Some of the puzzles require that little extra thought. Linking the plot is great fun. Can't wait to have another go.

All I can say is wow... The hype of the game along with all the delays and this is what we ended up with? The developers forgot one of the key things that made this series fun. Looking for broken up objects. And I could have overlooked that had the game been even semi-challenging. Very disappointing.

Well as usual Mortimer ROCKED !!!! The game was great the graphics were awesome basically there is nothing to complain about with this one. A fun, delightful, and beautiful game from start to finish. Once I got started I had to drag myself away for few minutes and then I was right back and finished it and loved every minute of it the game is spot on !! I applaud you Gamehouse on a job very very well done and please keep Mortimer coming !!! We need more Mortimer !!!!!!!!!!
I am a big fan of the Mortimer Beckett series and This one was just as good as the previous ones EXCEPT that I finished it in about 4 hours. So I am a little disappointed that I payed, almost 20 bucks for a game that I'm already done with. Had I known, I probably would have waited for the regular edition. Other then that, it's fun and makes you think. The graphics are good too. I would recomend this game but I do think it's not worth it to pay this much money for it.
I absolutely enjoyed this game....my first experience with this character.

This is the game where the Mortimer series comes into its own. The animation is stunning, the world is rich, and puzzles abound. They've switched over from putting together broken up pieces of objects to simply finding whole objects and letting you puzzle out how to use them, transforming the series into a pure adventure title like the 90's CD games. There's not infinite replay value, but there is some, as some puzzles have a few variations to them. The bad news: the Platinum Edition isn't worth it. The wallpaper is rather ugly and there are only 4. The jigsaw bonus game is screenshots from the real game. no special art or anything. they didn't even take out the menus! The guide is good, but nothing you can't get online. Buy the normal game. you're getting the same thing.
after loving the previous Mortimer adventures this one was neither worth the wait nor the expense

I thought for $20 I would be more challenged than I was. Extremely disappointed in The Lost King. Time Paradox was much more involved and much more challenging. Sorry I wasted my time and money on The Lost King.
