Enjoyed the game, great graphics, storyline and characters. Mini-games were fun too and determined which upgrades I could choose. I also liked that during the story, questions would be posed to me and I had the option to choose my response from two or three choices. Definitely recommended for those who are tired of the usual restaurant games. Miriel serves monks, "blue bloods", kids, druids, etc. Overall, a great game.

I was pleased with this game. The game play is pretty straight forward and some of it is familiar from other TM games, but it is still quite unique in its own. It is like a fast-food game, but instead of only being able to hold one or two items, Miriel is a magician. This allows her to hold four items or more. I like that there is another mini-game included that is necessary to complete in order to earn upgrades. The story line is unique, as well. You are helping somebody earn money and along the way her life story is unveiled. As you converse through the game you can choose what kinds of answers you will give her. During this progression you unlock real-life recipes. I believe you need to go through the game answering different ways to unlock all of the recipes, but I haven't tried it. The game starts out very easy, but does get pretty challenging. The only reason I gave this title 4 stars instead of the 5 I wanted to offer is because it's the only game I have got from here that sometimes randomly shuts down for no reason.

I loved this game as it takes the traditional 'Diner Dash' style customer service game and adds a new dimension – combining! Not only will your customers ask for products Miriel keeps in stock, but you will need to hurriedly make bread, cake, chocolate and lots more whilst keeping your customers happy enough to wait for them. The graphics are gorgeous, and for those with kids, you get lots of free recipes along the way that you can try out at home. A real winner.

Nice little game, I just had the feeling that I played trough it very quickly. The cooking and selling targets female gamers.

Tried this game out tonight and after only a couple of levels, I knew I would be buying it. You play Miriel who runs a shop with merchants like monks, fair maidens, huntsmen, etc. They come in for various products, but unlike most TM games, you can queue items up to serve but there is limited space and a slight delay, which makes you have to think ahead a bit more. If you serve customers fast enough, you earn haste drops, and when they fill the potion bottle, it gives you an incredible speed boost which seems to even effect your ingredient loading time. I played into the second tier but was given a few different upgrades, each of which is handy. I can see that this game will quickly become challenging as you really have a run for your money even in tier 2. This is a great game for die-hard TMers but for those who can't cut it - you know what they say, if you can't take the heat... stay out of the kitchen! Game has a great mystical renaissance type feel to it. In between levels, you are asked a series of questions which seem to advance the storyline. Graphics and the game are nicely done. This is a good addition to any TM library.

I got tired of all of the other time management games so this game was a great change. Loved having to mix ingrediants but it's not soooo difficult that you get frustrated.

This is a cool game! I actually felt bad that I was wanting to give it 4 stars (and destroying it's 5 star track record) just because there are other games I like more--so I have given it 5 stars because in the context of time management games it's bright, entertaining, has cool characters and fun graphics. I have always been a fan of the Diner Dash series but I actually think this is better. The game does become increasingly fast-paced and it is VERY clicky but what time mangement games aren't? The recipes become more involved so that eventually you are baking two items together, two other items together and then mixing those two baked items to create the final recipe. So, it can be quite challenging not losing customers but, unlike DD, so far I haven't got to a point where I have thrown up my hands having done a level 5 times, each time only JUST missing the daily goal. The bonus "make-at-home" recipes are a nice addition too. Still contemplating purchasing the sequel...

I created an account JUST to review this game. *chuckles* I really enjoyed this little gem. As others have mentioned, there is more than just grabbing a bunch of items and getting them to customers. Sometimes you have to make a base item first and then combine it with another to deliver the requested item. Prioritizing is key. The music and graphics are lovely. Granted, it's nothing over the top for the graphics but it is colorful and anime reminiscent. The music will get stuck in your head after a while. Thankfully, it sounds like actual instruments and not synth'd stuff so that's acceptable. The recipes are an added bonus. I actually went out and bought vanilla sugar just to make one of them! Some of the instructions definitely lost something when getting translated into English. Apparently, the same translator that was used for "All your base are belong to us" got involved. With a little educated guessing, the recipes are still usable. The storyline approach is also fairly creative. It reminds me of the "choose your own adventure" style. You can either make a "good" or "evil" choice with an occasional neutral statement thrown in the mix. This encourages the player to create another character to find out how the story ends when you go one way or the other. Here's the kicker: You won't be able to unlock all the recipes based on one play thru. Based on the recipes you choose to learn as you progress through the storyline, you will unlock similar real world recipes. Sometimes that means passing up a recipe or two. *shrugs* Just create another character and play to unlock the other recipes. Overall, I really enjoyed this game and hope there's another Miriel adventure coming out in the near future. *looks at the 2008 date* Then again, maybe I shouldn't hold my breath. :/

No matter how fast things get in the game, the soundtrack makes it all worth it. It's the most relaxing thing I've heard in a while. So much that I leave it on to sleep too when I'm having problems sleeping. The game is great.
