This is not a game. It's a book. A book for children. All you do is click and read, click and read, click and read, choose an outcome. Then click and read, click and read, etc. You get the premise! If you run out of story books to read to a child at night, this is for you. Then again you would have to have the kid on the desk or your laptop in the kid's bedroom burning your legs while you hold it. If you're looking to play a GAME, do not load this one. Sorry, no recommendation.

This game was a bit off the beaten trail from most games. It doesn't move as fast and you must do quite alot of reading but it's jolly good fun to see the outcomes of the choices you make for your character. I like the originality of it and the fact that it ISN'T a fast paced game; nice to just putz around with. I mostly play HO games but after awhile I just get tired of them and need to change gears a bit...this is a great game for that!

If you love READING and CLICKING the mouse then this is the game for you! It's interesting in that it has various outcomes depending on your answer. But my eyes got tired of the reading! And the graphics were a bit simple. It would've been nice if the characters talked and then you chose. My fingers are still sore from clicking. Gotta go now and soak them! LOL

Awful gameplay. Perhaps it was designed by someone who's never actually played a video game ... ? Or perhaps it gets better after the first 20 minutes. I gave it 20 minutes because I'm an Austen fan, but won't give it any more than that.

Let me preface this by saying I'm mostly a HO gamer, and this is the first time I've ever played this kind of game. The game is almost all reading, but (sort of) interesting as it follows Pride & Prejudice fairly closely (at least until characters from Austen's other novels start showing up to make more "suitors"!). The point of the game is supposed to be (I think) to play it through 9 times with the intent of marrying 9 different suitors. I have two problems with that: 1) The "gameplay" is picking which character traits you want to work on for the week (HINT: if you want to end up with a specific man, choose your traits to match the heroine in that novel), and then you read through dozens of pages and make a couple of "either/or" decisions that bring you closer to marrying one suitor or another. I read VERY fast and it was still boring for me. 2) WHO would want to end up with ANYONE other than MR. DARCY???? Bingley? Really? Or even worse, Mr. Collins, lol!! I was just following the story and to my surprise I ended up a SPINSTER the first time around. I played again JUST because I'm going to get Darcy, thank you very much, and the second time, I did. I would never play it again. I was going to say it might be a good introduction to Jane Austen novels for tween girls, but honestly, it would be much better just to pick up the novel itself, or at least watch the movies. Skip this one.

If you like Jane Austen, and are familiar with the books, then you will be at an advantage. I'm really struggling to get to the ending that I want, which is, of course, Mr. Darcy. I've even tried starting with the "jump to this chapter" help. It's so frustrating. I want to get there on my own, but don't feel like I can figure out the right combination of how to spend my time and what to respond to in the choices. Am I the only one who feels this way? Hard is good, but it's frustrating when you don't know where you made the wrong turn. :(

I love this game! It has 9 different endings, & thousands of combinations of choices to get to each. The help section was awesomely complete. I have played to 3 endings so far, & I'm not bored yet. Great game for ages 12 & up.
