This is a good game. The graphics and story are decent. Not as much story as I like. Ghosts help you save your love from Snow Queen in a pretty but grey winter wonderland. There are no voice-overs which I actually miss. However, the game play makes up for it. HOS are clear, kind of cluttered but not too difficult. Puzzles vary in challenge. Some of the mini-games are original. I do think a map may have been a benefit to reduce travelling. As I said this a good game, but not a great game. I'm sure others would like it more than I, so I think it is definitely worth trying out for yourself. It's just missing the "Wow" factor.

I really enjoyed this game. Beautiful graphics, great story, and a great adventure. This game had all of the above. If you love HOGS/adventure games then this is one you definitely want to play. It didn't have a map but if you follow the story you don't need one. Do yourself a favor and play this game.

The game was good. I even played the bonus chapter at the end. If you don't have the strategy guide you will most likely give up once you get to the castle. Keep persisting though, it's a great outcome.

Pretty solid game, a shame they didnt do voice overs though, it could have been really cool. I felt like the main character was a little too blase in her attitude, afraid of no one and nothing, as if she was superwoman, but considering she survived everything, maybe she was invulnerable after all. Sorely lacking a map, particularly for navigation, since there is a lot of back and forth. Later in the game you will probably find yourself consulting the strategy guide if you get tired of guessing where to go, since the hint will only tell you there's nothing to do in a scene, but gives no indication as to which way to go to find something to do. Be careful, its easy to spoiler yourself there on more than you meant to see because its all together. It does suffer from some word list issues, obviously from translation problems. I don't know why these companies can't just hire a bilingual person instead of trying to use a dictionary and getting a completely wrong word, even when they had the right word before. (Example, a walking cane was searched for in previous lists, but in the bonus content, someone suddenly decided it was a "spike".... what?) Speaking of bonus content, I wouldn't want to play the standard version of this game because the regular content ends on a cliffhanger. It resolves in the extra content, but surprise, it sets up another sequel/cliffhanger at the ending to the bonus. Of course puzzles are skippable, but most are not that difficult- I actually finished some accidentally while waiting to skip because I don't like puzzles. The hint is a bit long to recharge on casual, but then its of most use in the HO scenes, unless you actually missed something in the current scene. It was often difficult to figure out just where they wanted cursor placed to interact with something, but a little patience worked. I think the log said I spent something like 3 and 1/2 hours on the main game and 1 hour on the bonus content, which is fairly standard length. So while it had some minor quibbles as I mentioned, it was really a pretty decent game and nice diversion for a few hours.

The game itself is okay, but the hint button is horrible, no arrows to lead your way, just a pop up that says there's nothing more here to do, off you go, clicking away and still finding "nothing more to do"

great graphics, ho's were visible but not easy to find. not dark so I couldn't find them, that's always a plus for me!! The one major thing I would change is that this game needs a map.

Had this game had a decent hint system it would have been much better; beautiful graphics, a decent story, different mini games. But I detest the "there's nothing to do here" hint style. It was of decent length and the bonus game is also quite long and not a tack-on. No voices; it distances you a little when you have to read. The beginning was pretty boring and I almost gave it up but once the gondola crashes it gets much better. There is a sequel promised, and I hope they work on their hint system. The story and actions to complete it were fairly original, which counts in its favor.

Lots of different scenes but the bad thing was there was no map to get to them. If you could remember where something went, you had to go back about 3 or 4 scenes (maybe take an elevator ride) to use the piece. The hint button was rechargeable often in casual play, but it only told that there was nothing left to do in that scene, not help you to find another scene. With the great graphics, this could have a good game, but it's only average at best. I struggled and that's not relaxing for me.

If this game had contained a map to help you navigate through the various areas, I would have rated this as a 5 Star game. I found the mini games original and challenging.

Thank God I got this game on a free pass. The graphics are great but I played for an hour and am stuck. I don't like using hints unless I'm really stuck. If I ever can get past this point and finish the game. Maybe I'll change my opinion. I have some brain damage and use the hidden object games to help retrain myself.

Brrrrr ... graphics made you shiver from the cold. Good game with beautiful scenes. No vocals but music was OK. The Bonus play made this game nice and long, definitely your money's worth. The only disadvantage (reason for not giving it a 5 star rating) was that the hint button did not direct you. It only told you if there was any other task uncompleted in that scene, so you will definitely be running around alot. Had to use the strategy guide a few times. Just when you're ready to pull your hair out because you can't move forward, a new portal opens with plenty of places to explore. A definite reco.

This game was not a bad idea- I enjoyed the storyline and the artwork. However, as previous reviewers have stated, the hint button really didn't do much good except in HOS. The game was quite silent- no voice overs made the game feel rather flat. This game seems to be appropriate for kids- there isn't anything too 'bump in the night', but if they are scared of skulls, beware! :)

Hint button is frustrating. Does not provide direction for moving between scenes .

Enjoyable game. Very nice graphics, nice music, interesting story. It seems the terrible ice queen has a past and she's been hanging out with some very sordid fellows! The HO scenes are crisp and not too difficult. Mini games are different and mostly enjoyable and be skipped if wanted. Great having the strategy guide as I needed it a few times. Nice little extra game at the end which leads you to the closing scene promising a sequel. I look forward to playing it too.

It is a long and complete game with a fascinating storyline. The graphics are truly beautiful with great attention paid to details. The HOs are clear and the mini-games interesting but requiring patience. Don’t worry, you can skip them. There is no map and the hint button does not point you in the right direction. In view of how long and intricate the game is, it is almost essential to get the Platinum Edition with the strategy guide. The extra play is as good as the main game and quite long as well. Too bad there were no voices – voices would have made this game absolutely irresistible. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend it – it is truly enjoyable.

liked the story, graphics, and music of this game. BUT, it really needs a map. there is jst too much backtracking b/c you have no idea where to go next. i played the casual version, and the hint button took forever to recharge. the bonus play was challenging, too. oh, and the skip button took a long time to charge also. i have to admit i skipped quiet a few mini games. some of them jst made no sense to me. tho there were things that disappointed me in this game, i still played it to it's conclusion...

This was a good game, not a great game ... I needed the map and there were no voices and the hint didnt really help anywhere except HOS... That said it is a beautiful game, clear graphics that made me cold,lol...the music was appropriate,HOS right down the middle, easy to hard mini games and an engrossing story... I liked that the bonus gameplay was included,it put a bow on everything outstanding in main gameplay and left us with another cliffhanger, hopefully the sequel is in production and wont take toooo long... I would recommend it,I love all the extras so I believe it to be a good value,if one purchases it,I was hooked from the first 25 minutes of play and I dont see anything too nefarious that younger ones could not play it... as always HAPPY GAMING EVERYONE !!

This game, even with the strategy game tucked in the bottom right hand corner very small lol.... playing on casual mode it's hard. Gets so hard that you even lose interest in the game at one point. The mini games are refreshing though :) Guess that's whats the level of difficulty, the mini games. But I have to say, the graphics are great, didn't like that there is no voice acting so all they get is a 3.

There is a lot to like in this game: The graphics are very good, excellent story line, and the music fit with the gameplay. That being said, where's the map? If no map (and there isn't one), why doesn't the hint button point you in the right direction? It only works during HO scenes, where you seldom need it. Voiceovers were non-existent, which is a shame, because I think they would have pulled me into the game instead of forcing me to be a spectator. The minigames were pretty good; some unusual ones, which is nice to see. They can be skipped if you don't want to fool with them. Because of no directional hints and no map, the Platinum Edition is kind of a necessity because of the strategy guide. Also, the bonus game explains some of the abrupt ending. Apparently a sequel is planned. It's a good game and worth playing, but it could have been so much more.
