I forced myself to play this game, but after about 15 minutes I couldn't take it anymore. And that was 15 minutes of being on the game site, not playing time. If you clicked on an area of the screen it brought you back to the initial 'play' screen where you needed to click on 'continue'. This happened to me about 5 times. Then you had those wonderful black screens when the game switched scenarios. One of my biggest beefs was when you needed an item from your inventory. You literally had to click and hold to drag it. If you lifted your finger the item popped back into your inventory, didn't stick to your cursor. No direction, almost no hints, no skips on mini's. Not fun. Deleted game. No reco.
It is a good surprise that they've made a game about this great classic from Victor hugo. The atmosphere is great in the sense that you really feel sad for the poor Cosette. The graphics are pretty good and describe very well this particular ambience of France of the 18th century.

Like the other reviewers, I was extremely disappointed with this game. Anuman Interactive has put out some badly reviewed games before, but this one tops the list. This game is over 400 Mb. So what did they do with it? The graphcs are fuzzy, the scenes are not particularly well drawn, there is no voice-over, the transitions are clunky, there are no hints to speak of except during HO scenes, the same small piece of music plays over and over and over, etc. I've played some pretty poor games, so I thought this one couldn't be any worse, but it is. The game takes about 1 1/2 hours to play, but you're not rewarded with a completed story line when you're done. It just kind of fizzles out. It's a mess. You can get through it without raising your blood pressure, but why would you want to? There is absolutely nothing to recommend here.
This game is awful. There are no hints, you can't pick up and save items for later (that dreaded "you don't need this yet" message! Just let me take it now, don't make me come back later!), very little task guidance, no graphic indications for when something can be done in a scene, no instructions on the mini-games and no ability to skip them... I could go on, but you get the point. Don't waste your time.

I would definitely recommend this game! I love the story of Les Miserables and I'm glad someone made a game out of it! Regarding the game itself, I tought the difficulty was just challenging enough and the graphics were beautiful! Im looking forward to a similar game! Nice job !

Granted I only played the trial but I wasn't even really sad when I ran out of time. It was hard to know what to do at times, it was kind of slow, the HO scenes were extremely easy. No spoken dialogue, the graphics were just ok. Won't be buying this one.

Gosh I wanted to like it. Really I did, waited for it anxiously and turned out to be garbage. The mini games were mind benders and had no way around them. No skip button or anything. If anything I'm proud I made it as far as to her growing up. The game kept up not responding at one point, no hints what to do. Frustrating and a bad word at the beginning, I had never seen that, so I don't recommend that for kids.

I enjoyed playing this game, the graphic style is pleasant and the mini-games are well thought out. Also, I found the hidden objects screens not too hard and the combination between the objects were interesting. Overall, it's a nice game based with a gripping story based on a really good book by Victor Hugo.

This was one of the worst games I've ever played. Complete waste of time.

I really wanted to like this game as I fell in love with the musical with the new movie out. BUT----I had no clue what to do. The arrow doesn't really change, just gets brighter whenever you are near something, then in a HOG scene, usually the items are taken away or have a circle or something around them to tell you that you found the object, but in this one, you had to pay attention to what you were clicking on and what is marked on the to find list. I played this game for about 5 minutes--oh and the one thing I did like was the facts about the writer of the book. Although in the very first note that I found there was a bad word, so I would not recommend this game for children. Very disappointed, but then again, the last few times they have done games based on musicals, I haven't been impressed either.
I found this game to easy . I like a challenge and found this game lacking! I did read some of the other reviews and would like to say to those stuck on the lock pick ...match the symbols on the key pieces and you should get to the next scene. I have to say I enjoyed the facts on Victor Hugo but the storyline was way to chopped up. Would't recommend wasting your time .

Stepping off the somewhat fast-paced games, this beautiful, artistic game is slower-paced. No bells or whistles, the hidden objects are appropriate for the time period. Developers must have dedicated a lot of work and research. Enjoy!

I'm very dissapointed with this game. I played the first half an hour and I can't get pass the lock pick part. It does not give you enough hints or even a skip button. I was looking forward to finish the game because I like the story line, but I can't pass this part so it looks like I'm uninstalling it. FYI my hubby is really good with puzzle and he has good eyes, when it comes to HOG, he can find things that takes me a long time to find. He tried the lock pick puzzle for an hour and even him couldn't figure it out so it's not just me. I read other people's comment on the game and they had trouble on that part too. Also a better walkthrough would be helpful.... :(
This game is really fun and relaxing. I love the graphics and the gameplay. The game is just a little bit too short for me but it is a good game:)

As with others, I was excited to see a game based on Les Miserables, but was extremely disappointed in this one. The graphics are flat, the functionality clunky, and the game overall not interesting. In addition, it should not be necessary for the game to effectively show the innkeeper hitting Closette. I could not even make it through the trial period before I gave up in disgust.

No help available. If you find puzzles difficult skip this game since there is no way to skip them and move on.

This game was very easy. The HOGs were very repetitive. You clicked on the same area when your were finished with it to open another HOG. lots of arrows to tell you where to go but it wasn't intuitive. You needed the arrows to direct you. Very short game.

Absolutely terrible. What a huge disappointment, but then I should have expected that from this publisher of really, really bad games. I'm in agreement with most of the other reviews, but I can't fathom how anyone even got to the end (or gave it 2 whole stars!) The puzzles have virtually no instructions, and NO skip. I never play games with no skip for puzzles- I play for the HO scenes, and dislike most puzzles. The hint is useless outside HO scenes, which repeat multiple times, almost in a row. Its hard to even tell where they are/when they are active. You can turn off the music, thankfully, but not the ambient sounds which are so repetitive they get very old fast. I thought the info from the book/movies was stupid and quite distracting. I bet they spent twice as much time & effort finding Les Miserables trivia as designing the game. The controls respond poorly ( constant load screens? really?) and everything you do takes too many steps- "ok I finished this- wait, no I didnt." Ugh. I quit this dud and didn't look back. I want the 10 minutes of my life back =P (ok probably 15 just going back and forth trying to figure out what the ^&%$ they wanted you to do.)
