I like the game, but it runs only in compatibility mode for Win98/2000 and it gets slower with each level! At a certain level it drives me nuts and I break it bvecause it's like slowmotion!!! Maybe it has to be revised!

This second of the Jewel Quest series has a very involved story line that will keep you playing just to see what happens next. We have the good guy, his love interest, the dastardly bad guy, and a wise friend the good guys pick up along the way. The graphics are sharper than in the first game, and the background music fits very well with the different stages. This game has the added bonus of allowing you to collect 'specials'. These coins are absolutely necessary for the later more difficult stages. You can accumulate up to 99 coins, and you'll need them all (or at least I did) to get through the more difficult later levels. I just finished playing this game again after a break of a couple of years, and I enjoyed it every bit as much as the first time. The squares are comfortably large for older eyes, and there's no mistaking the individual jewels, as their colors and shapes are not like any other piece on the board. Some of the newer games put a lot more variety of pieces on the board, but I often find they are difficult to distinguish, both in size, color and design. But when you play Jewel Quest II you don't have to worry about eye strain, which is a big plus for me. I consider this to be a classic match 3 game with all the elements you could want for great entertainment. It never gets old.,

Been playing this game for over three years and the more you play and farther you go, the harder it gets. The game tells you its getting harder. You can always change your players name and start over while maintaining your "hard" game when you are ready. Good value fun game and a test of patience.

I really liked the first one, so i was happy when this came out. better graphics and fun new twists to the game. I like the special moves you can earn when you match the gold coins, and being able to move jewels into empty spaces! It's great fun for the whole family.

I really enjoy Jewel Quest II. My goal it to make it thru the whole journey. My only gripe is that some of the boards don't let emough special coins fall. Absolutely worth the price!
