Nothing special. Only sound heard is between scenes. Graphics plain story plain. I rate this one good old plain vanilla with no sprinkle on the top. Try for yourself, it might be your flavor.

Cute story, and OK hidden objects, but feels like the game wasn't 'finished' with audio missing.

Not too much taxing about this game but a nice relaxing romp. Gameplay was straight forward. The puzzles are not that difficult but if you get frustrated you have the option to skip them. Not the best game I've played but it certainly isn;t the worst. It's good for an hour's worth of relaxing seek and find but I don't see much replay value in it unless you wamt to tackle any puzzles you may have skipped. Worth taking a look at if you have a FunPass.
I read all the other reviews and had to add this one. As opposed to all the others, this game is full of sound. Music is different in every room. Sound effects for every action. Even when you pop the balloons, or click the cat. Even the searches for items changes sound in different rooms. Those missing the sound must either have an old copy, or maybe their computers won't play the sound correctly. I found the gameplay really fun, and enjoyed it. I like really fun HOG games, and this is one of them. I will play it again.
I purchased this game and played it to the end. I would not do it again. Storyline was ok, no audio really did nothing for the game. At times it was frustration. I guess try it for yourself and decide

The premise is a meddling mother who thinks her detective son incapable of doing his job. The HO scenes are easy, the puzzles are easy and all in all it is a decent HO game. My huge complaint is the lack of sound. The only time it kicks in is when you change locations, while the next scene is loading. You hear a bit of music. It is a major defect in the game that the sound effects don't work in the rest of the game. There is a bell puzzle where you are supposed to follow the pattern the bells play. Impossible to do when there is no sound. You will have to skip this puzzle to proceed. The developers should fix this before putting it on the market. I gave it only 2 stars because of that.
It's very strange playing a game without any sound. Too bad this programming flaw (obviously there was sound) made the game difficult to play. I need the bells, whistles, and sound effects. It's what keeps me interested. As a fairly straight HO, it was pretty good. Graphics were clear, objects fairly easy to find. Navigation was simple. I decided to continue to play even without sound until I got to the truth serum. That darn basil leaf REFUSED to get into the pot of boiling water (not that I blame it). After trying about 15-20 times I gave up. With no sound to keep my interest I decided to delete, delete. Hope you have better luck than me. Enjoy.
The game itself is more of a kid friendly style game. It has the same basic style as most hidden object games. Find the items on the list, some of which are also to be used on areas in the game. Occasionally you will solve a puzzle, skip available if you just can't solve it. Normal hidden object style. The characters don't have any voices and the soundtrack is pretty monotonous and boring, doesn't really do much to help or hinder the game experience. The one main thing I did find very irritating was the misuse of words. For instance I believe they asked you to find a "cap" which actually turned out to be a little party hat like you see kids wear at birthday parties. If you have played other hidden object games though, you are probably used to these types of errors and can easily work around it. The story was, of course, a little silly. I actually found the mother character and her reason for the whole journey to be cute. All the "my boy needs his vegetables" and "my boy is so messy I better clean his office" dialog made me smile. Overall it is definitely not the worst game I have played. I thought it was cute and my younger daughter and I had a fun time playing it together. Although, there is not much of a reason to play it again unless you maybe want to retry puzzles.
Loved the game, I did have a skip button on the bell mini-game so was able to continue. Love the game story- it's so funny! - and the graphics. Very relaxing game.

If I had an overbearing mother like her ugh! This game was ok, same old stuff though. The story line was laughable. If you like to look for HO with a silly plot go for it.

I didn't find it very good, because there was no sound to anything, my sound is good and I could hear the music when it was on the map but once you were in the game the sound was gone, I would have given it 2 stars but, the story was quite funny, but overall not very interesting, finished in 2 hours, wouldn't recommend it.

This game was average. It would have been much better with more sound effects, and more interaction of characters!

I agree with Angelwings review. How can you possibly pass a mini game that requires sound IF the game has NO sound??? It did allow me to skip the game & continue but to me this is a great big flaw. GH should fix this if they want the game is to be a hit.

I found this game contained limited sound effects, not enjoyable at all, not challenging. After 15 minutes of play I gave up out of boredom and deleted the game from my computer. A waste of money!

I liked this game a nice story line. It had one problem it had sound when you move from place to place but no sound effects during the game. That made me a little crazy because I am use to music and sound effects when you click on something. They have a mini game with bells and you are surppose to repeat the sound which there was'nt any sound to hear. So I skipped that game. Other then those things the game was fun.

This HO game is a little different from the usual detective work of other HO. I found this to be quite easy and also a nice game to play when time is limited. The graphics are nice and simple and would be a game played for all age groups. If you are looking for something that does not need too much brain power, and a little relaxation at the same time this is one game to play. The objects are quite easy to find and the mini games are just as simple and all the time you have the help of a mother if you need a hint or two.
This game was very boring to play and way too short for the money.

I really liked this one.! Nice graphics.. A little slow loading. Hidden objects were fairly easy to find. .. My only REAL complaint was that it"s just not long enough. I was really getting into it, and the game ended. Hoping there will be another one coming soon with a little longer story. I recommend this one.. I had fun playing it.!!

what a disappointment. typical HOG-find items, use inventory items to find other items, or advance your progress in some other way. what i couldn't get passed is the misuse of words. i looked everywhere in a scene for a 'cap', finally using a hint-it was a party hat. that's not the only time an item did not match it's name. the dialogue was silly, and misused words, too-at least the way i'm used to using them. i couldn't even play for 30 mins-got frustrated and deleted this game. i hope you can get passed the little things that bugged the mess out of me...
Overall Impression: a fun, quirky game with a premise that's quite different from the standard Media Description: The graphics were nice and bright and cheery and made you think of Italy (the setting for the game) most of the time. The music on the other hand did not. It was cheery so from that perspective, it fit the atmosphere well enough. But it was also rather repetitive and did not evoke feelings of Italy at all. There were no voiceovers. Storyline: There was a storyline. It was an improbable one, but not any more improbable than all the let's-go-rescue-grandpa-and-in-the-process-defeat-a-supervillian stories that are out there. It held together pretty well and was developed through the hidden object scenes and skippable cut scenes. Gameplay: This was a lite iHOG/Adventure blend where you sometimes went back and forth between scenes in order to gather all the items on your list. When it came to interacting with something in the scene, all of the components were usually found right there or in the next scene over. You didn't have to go searching around for the necessary items. Interactive areas did sparkle and had to be tolerated since there was only one mode of gameplay. Those who aren't crazy about handholding will be glad to note that there wasn't an overabundance of sparkles, though, so they could be easily overlooked in a few spots. HOG Scenes: The HOG scenes were cluttered rooms. Most of the items were fairly clear and easy to identify, but a few of them were a tad bit fuzzy. Three bullet holes appear in the screen if you misclick too many times in a row. Towards the end of the main game and in the bonus section, several items were misidentified. Album/Records may look a bit like plates, but the two words are not interchangeable. Minigames/puzzles: The minigames were integrated into the game pretty well. A couple were a bit too picky in my opinion, but all of them could be skipped if you wanted. Hints: The hint system was unlimited and refilled within a decent amount of time. Will Probably Appeal to: people who enjoy lighthearted, quirky games Will Probably Not Appeal to: people who prefer a dash of realism in their games and/or have a strong aversion to mislabeled objects
