overall this game was fantastic but it being "Platinum Edition" the supposed extras is limited and not really worth the extra 7 bucks i paid for it. The interactive map only shows the tresures you unlock in the game and so that was a bit of a let down, and if there was an extra 20 levels i didn't notice one way or the other. One huge flaw with the game that kinda annoyed me was the map space to build the city was very limited which was very annoying and after you beat the game, there is no way to go back and work on that city anymore and you have to start the game all over again. So those problems dragged the rating down.

I really liked this game. The match 3 games seemed to get more difficult as I progressed. You really have to plan your moves. However, as one reviewer said, the board you have to work with is somewhat limited. I tried to build roads and expand my territory, but couldn't. But, I did think the match 3 games were a lot more challenging than some of the others I have done, and I liked that. I finished the game, but haven't gone back yet to try it again.

Very nice graphics and fun to build a city. Most kids will love the game and the challenge level doesn't go up too quickly. I did get bored with it after playing for an hour. Still worth playing tho.

I enjoyed this "match 3" game thoroughly. I found the primary "match" section, as well as all the mini's refreshingly different than the usual. Have been playing it off and on for a couple of days and I'm temporarily stuck at the final level. The mini puzzle artwork is beautiful, and I wish they were available to view longer (as soon as the last jigsaw piece is placed, the finished puzzles disappear), the HOG mini's did not make my eyes blurry. All in all, this is better than the average Match 3 Game and I recommend it!!! This would be appropriate for children of all ages.

Very good game with a really nice mixture of Match 3, picture puzzels, hidden object, etc. Didn't get bored at all. It did take me awhile to figure out the last segment but I thought of the solution in bed one night and just completed it. More of the same would be fabulous.

i really enjoy this game. while the actual puzzle part is fairly simple-u really do have to concentrate to put chains longer that 6 together. the graphics are so cool. from pretty simple graphics in the intro to crisp and beautiful graphics. the music is PERFECT!! i like that u can decide where to place buildings or let the architect do it for u. i love being able to dress the queen. it's almost like the dress up dolls we used to have...a long long time ago. i think this is a great game for newbies and experienced gamers. no time limit-bright/beautiful backgrounds. glad i played it...

The main match 3 game, and the mini-games/puzzles, are alright. But the grammer in the dialog is atrocious, when it's even there: many of the dialog boxes are simply empty. And once you get to about level 70, you've max'ed-out your city, with no more room to build, and the buildings are all a their maximum level. For me, there's no replay value. I guess it's a good thing I got this game on sale.

Congratulations. You are the budding ruler of ancient Egypt! The graphics are very cool and understated. As you complete challenges, your avatar (male or female) attains more luxurious attire from which to oversee the masses. You also get to build your city, which is nice, but I've yet to see any strategy involved in that aspect of play. Maybe I've missed something there. All in all, it's ok. I got The Treasures of Montezuma 3 at the same time and found that to be far more fun to play. It was a good value as I got it on sale here at GH.

Loved this game from the very beginning - it's a great combination of Match 3, hidden object, find-the-difference, reconstruct a torn painting - you name it, it's included. Have played through to the end three times now and each game was different (had no place to put the palace in the first game - learnt to leave a nice big clear space for it.....) One spooky thing though - on the opening page, while the game is loading, the guy on the left is BREATHING - it's so realistic....... (the girl just blinks a lot.....)

Fantastic game. I enjoyed the graphics, music, and the neat way the game's layouts would unfold as the levels got more difficult. The mini games were great too, too- putting together multiple jigsaw pictures at the same time was challenging. I especially enjoyed arranging the city and dressing the Egyptian guy. What I did not like was that after getting a palace I was expecting to get something else big (like maybe more land) but the play just went on and on until I had more coins than space to put buildings and trees and then abruptly the game was over! And to top it off I couldn't go back and mess around with the city. Other than that, it was terrific.

A simply stunning game, well thought out from the intro scene with the "breathing" king and queen (one of which is you), through the game play, to the ancient Egyptian city you build with the animated soldiers and royal subjects. A nice surprise was being able to change the appearance of the king or queen with money earned: facial features, clothing, jewelry, and accessories. (The king or queen is chosen for you by the computer based upon the player name you enter.) The matching games, which allow you to do everything else, are not the traditional match 3. Most games involve making chains of at least 6 balls by moving balls across a game board that looks like a honeycomb. But if you move a ball and don't make a chain, then more balls sprout up, blocking the routes. It requires you to think a little bit. You may find that addictive–or annoying. I enjoyed the whole game and experimenting with this new version of matching. But unfortunately, my brain didn't fall in love with playing it long-term. So here's where a review may not be as helpful, and you simply have to try a unique game for yourself.

This game has match 3, hidden object, pick a pair, and building a city. It is involved and exciting to reach the end. Seeing how you can meet the objectives in each section and getting through the next gaame is inticing to say the least. I kept trying to quit but always continued on the expectation thatt I would get the next best building, statue, or greenery. Worth the time and money.

This game is match six or more to clear the board. You get to build your own Egyptian city, complete with a market, library, foliage and more. As you win, additional items become available to dress your avatar. The game is totally user friendly. It has plenty of hints and the powerups refill easily as you move through the levels. I haven't quite got the hang of the road building, so my city looks a little squished right now. Can't complain though as this is just a lot of fun to play. Well done GameHouse!

Did not like it. We want a game that engages us immediately, this was not it.

I like this game, it's fun to build your city but the fog gets in the way. It's not hard since there is no time limit on the games.

I haven't finished the game yet and I'm giving it 5 stars. It is lovely, different, fun, additive, and even creative. My only wishes for change is that you had more room to build and that you could see your whole city at once!!

I love it! It is perfect for relaxing and taking a break from that oh so boring house work. Only one problem ... when I start I don't want to quit. It is a great game for little old ladies that want to shake the cobwebs out of their head. Hope you gonna have some more like it.

Hexus is a delightful city builder and strategy game, fresh and innovative. The standard edition has 100 levels in adventure mode, plus two other modes. Make matches of 6 or more to earn coins to build up your city and dress up an avatar. The M6 play is similar to Da Vinci's Secret - you move coloured balls around the field to make the matches. There are goals to achieve on each level and obstacles to overcome. The city building element is free-form - you can design the city however you like, create/remove roads, move buildings around or you can use the auto-build function. The mini-games keep to the Egyptian theme and the graphics are stunning, particularly in the jigsaws. I would love to see more games like this.
