Fix-It-Up is a fun time management game that involves cars that you buy, fix-up, and sell. There are quite a few different cars that pull up to your parking lot. You have the choice to buy it, or it moves on down the road. Some levels want you to fix-up a certain type and amount of cars or trucks. Most of the levels are not too challenging. The graphics are great, and it was lots of fun going through the whole process of getting a car ready to sell. You have to keep an eye on the cars in your lot, because if they sit too long, they get dirty and you have to get them washed or they won't sell. The only disappointment I had, was the game was too short for me! I wanted to keep playing!

Enjoyed the game, a couple of challenging levels but didn't take too many goes to get gold and unlock the bonus levels. Storyline was ok - and seems open for a sequel. Graphics well done and the theme is a change from the plethora of 'beach' or cooking games.

When Kate's Fix-It-Up first appeared at Game House, I skipped over it. After all, fixing cars? Not my cup of tea at all. But then it showed up again in a double pack, and I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did. Although, I have to admit, all through the first level I was seriously considering stopping. Then I stopped thinking like someone who wouldn't "get it," and started having fun. In reality, this game is along the same lines as something like Build-a-Lot--although easier. You have to buy cars, sell cars, fix and upgrade cars, employ workers, and meet the goals for each level. Some levels were harder than others, particularly in the final section. However, if I realized I was going to have trouble meeting all the goals in time, I just restarted and tried again. So, from that perspective, it was pretty low stress, but lots of fun. Not quite relaxing, but certainly not stressful either. The storyline throughout wasn't too intrusive, and the characters were well drawn and fun. The only disappointment was that it was over way too soon. It's not normal for me to finish a game in about five or six hours, but I think that's about all it took me to get through this one. Not surprised they made a sequel. So if you enjoy Build-a-Lot and games of that type, don't be put off by the whole "fixing car" thing. It's not hard to get the hang of it, and it's fun. However, if you like time management games that push you to the limit, this may not be what you're looking for. (Or maybe I'm just getting better at this sort of thing--but I doubt it.)

Some of the levels were extremely hard, I actually had to replay them a few times to get an expert score. But it's so addictive. The only thing I didn't like was the end of the story. I guess I will have to wait for the sequel, whenever that's going to be. But it's really challenging and a whole lot of fun, give it a shot!
