I'm not a usual brick-and-bat game fan. I hate starting over when I lose my lives, and often the games are kind of repetitious.** But Fairy Treasure is an unexpected surprise, full of atmospheric scenery, castles, magical creatures, mystical symbols, orbs, charms, coins, jewels, animations, and glowing fire and candles that make this a playing "experience." Power-ups and treasure rain down as your ball bounces around castle stones, gargoyles, cauldrons, flaring torches, and such. And just when you think the level is about won, glowing firefly-like fairies appear. Are they helping or trying to confuse your ball? Really gorgeous graphics, creative game design, loved the castle-themed and magical motifs. I was so busy enjoying all the visual elements, I forgot to worry about losing my lives, and so played better than I usually do. I did appreciate that you can win lives, and that you don't have to start ALL the way back at the beginning if you lose yours. Well worth an hour or more! ** If you are new to brick-and-bat games: You bounce a ball off a bar that you slide horizontally across the bottom of your screen. And the ball then bounces off some sort of bricks. Think of bouncing a tennis ball against a brick wall.
