It is almost unheard of for me to give a game one star, as I appreciate the work that goes into creating a game, even if it doesn't gell. But Evolver has the personality of an amoeba. The artwork is awful, like pixelated graphics from the 1980s. It's difficult to even tell what some of the matching icons are, and they are somehow creepy anyway, like a tapeworm infestation. Text boxes cut off the text...and no one noticed this? The matching is mindless and pointless other than you have to match a certain number to end the level. The life form created after you suffer through that has nothing at all to do with the matching. So really, what's the point? If this is evolution, then maybe I can mix a toothpick with peanut butter and grow a stop sign, which makes as much sense as this game. I've taught science, and I still couldn't find anything to love, or like, here. One star for the nice music.

I don't normally review this game but I feel that this one has a couple of major problems that anyone looking at it should be aware of. Firstly some levels are frustratingly long. It would be nice when you reach higher evolved animals for them to give you them. Secondly the background makes it hard on some levels to find what you are matching (this is in the second world).

I agree almost 100% with "Infinity's" post. Hard to believe it's a new game, graphics are poor and text boxes cut off. Unlike Infinity, I didn't like the music either. There were no sound effects, or if there were any later on I didn't hear them as I shut the music off and there was no option for one and not the other. A kid may like it, but there are so many better ones out there. Sorry developers.

This is your typical Match 3 game. Very easy mindless fun. Great kid game. Graphics are very kid like.

Not one of my favorites. Background made it very difficult to see board you were working on. Game felt childish, however, to get 3 stars was difficult. Not a big reco from me but maybe you'll feel differently.

With different universes, Evolver is an original Puzzle-game. If you want a new kind of mach-3, you may enjoy this one.

This is a little different twist on a match three in that the pieces do no drop straight down but move toward the left. So the strategy is quite different from a regular match three. It's not sophisticated, but it is a charming little game that I believe kids will love.

All I can say is this game is a match 3 and would be fun for the kids.

When I started playing, I enjoyed the colorful screens. However, the evolution made no sense, so you had to "remember" what came next, even with the gauge at the side. Could they not spell "again"? Every screen said "Play Gain". One round can last a half hour, and for me that is over the top. The music was relaxing, although they should have varied it more. This game needs a lot of work.
