Very addictive game. One of my all time favorite games.

Tried the demo of this game last night and played for the full hour. Things that appealed to me: the tribal aspect and exploring. The problem is that it's very slow going and for example, when your people eat - they don't just eat 1 out of 50 bananas, they eat 38 bananas! Same when they build - you can collect maximum of 50 wood (at least during the demo), which takes a good 15 real time minutes but hitting the hut for about 3 real time minutes depletes it. I had mixed experiences with them starting back up on their own to assigned jobs. It seemed if I wanted them to, they didn't. When I wanted them to move on to something else, they had it in their minds do the old job. Sigh. The mini games are outdated and boring. One is a marble shooter which is terribly difficult to control and slow. The other was a word search puzzle - yawn. As you spend more time playing these old, boring games rather than the tribal portion, you feel as if you got ripped off and somehow purchased electronic versions of these. Also, when you finished a mini game, you would get points you could assign to your tribe people. For example, after successful word search puzzle, I had 86 points. I assigned them in one area to one person for "providing" - it barely moved the gauge a sliver and they were gone. That, I could live without. Although when the demo was over, I really was still curious about the tribal people. Anyway, wouldn't spend my money on this as like I said, it's word search & marble shooter more than anything else.

It was a pretty fun fast paced game that is easy to play and win.

This is a wonderful game packed with variety and difficult challenges. The mini-games add a great touch to the game. I was looking forward to getting to each new part of the island so I could see what the next mini-game would be. The game starts off pretty easy. Chop some wood, build some huts and take care of your few castaways. Then all of sudden there are 20-30 of them and tons of things to do! It is pretty challenging to keep up with everything and making sure your castaways are happy. I also love the challenges of finding the items on the island. You never knew what you would dig up. This game will last you a really long time and provide for days of fun! I recommend it to anyone and I hope they come out with a sequel!

When I first started playing this game I didn't think I would like it. I wasn't fond of the graphics and I figured it was just another cheesy Sims-type game. I was surprised to find out how much fun it really was. You start off with a small group of castaways and try to sustain them by having them learn to gather food and build shelters. As the game progresses, villagers gather skills and become better at gathering and building, attracting more castaways to your village. Along the way there are mini games and challenges that will help your villagers gain food, building materials, and skill. The object is to keep your village growing and solve all of the challenges, until your castaways are finally rescued. The only problem I had with this game is that the challenges weren't all obvious; I had to find an on-line source of "cheats" to finish the game. Once I knew what to do, however, it was on! This has become one of my favorites.

At first I wasn't sure because the game started off slow but it became very addictive and then the pace of the game got going and it became more challeging. I have not finished the game but so far a really good game.
