Maybe I am a bit too experienced in HOGs but this game seemed fairly easy and far too short, even with it being three parts! I absolutely loved the storyline as well as the graphics but the storyline, itself was a little too short for me; before I knew it, the game was over with! The only reason why I would not recommend this to those who have never played an HOG before is because of the challenge of some puzzles; there were a few that stumped me to the point where I had to take some time away from the game!
A lot of the puzzles did not give instruction on what to do. And many "hints" did not help.

This is my favorite HOG so far. I like it when there is an objective to finding the items. And I like travelling to the different places. The games are pretty challenging. I did have to go to a walk through for a couple of things, because the hints weren't always helpful. And the mazes were 'amazing'. I'm waiting for the next trilogy.

The Dream Chronicles trilogy was challenging and addictive. A great mix of hidden-object mixed with puzzles and even some characters who talk and you have to choose the correct bits of conversation to advance. Lots of different scenes and places to explore. I enjoyed not receiving too many hints, although I did get stuck for awhile at one point in the 2nd story. I also like that you can click as much as you want without punishment (some games freeze the mouse if you click on the wrong things too many times.) The story itself is about fairies which is kinda cheesy, and you can't skip the story because it contains information about the puzzles. Very valuable to complete the Dream Jewels in #3 because you cannot finish the game without the last hint. I liked all 3 games so much I played multiple times... very cool how some things are randomized so when you play again it is a slightly different experience, i.e. objects are hidden in different places. Best games I have tried so far on GameHouse!!
I really enjoyed this series because it has such a surreal feel and the gameplay is fairly unique. To be able to get the whole trilogy for one price is a terrific deal! The middle game "Eternal Maze" is definitely the most difficult (especially the chess board!) but also seemed the shortest. The first and last games seemed longer and weren't as difficult. You really need to be on your toes on some of the mini-games because there is no "skip" option. I know these games are a few years old (as the graphics show), but they are really unlike most games out there. I think the developers took great care with the story and cohesiveness. I would have liked some sort of "hint" function for the dream pieces/jewels that are scattered out throughout the series. It made me so happy when I completed one :) that I sort of felt sad if I didn't complete them all.
Great graphics, nice music. Nice story line, though feel a little not much actually. Good HO, puzzles, and tasks. Pretty short play time for each. Good replay I think only if you're a completionist and want to get highest score or missing dream jewels/pieces. Still, it's 3 games in one, and pretty great, so it's good value.

I enjoyed Dream Chronicles and finished it with help from hint, sites. DC 2 (the eternal maze) was way to difficult never finished it even with the help from hint sites! I'm now almost finished with DC 3 (the chosen child) with help from hint sites. I find they were all to be very addictive.

The Dream Chronicles games are definitely NOT your average hunt-and-seek item games. They are more in the fashion of the "myst" series... there's no way to die, so that pressure is gone. The only violent themes are the visible destruction of the worlds and the duplicity and killing caused by a trapped character. You're free to roam without repercussion until you solve the riddle and go on to the next task. I have played each game over and over and find them charming and challenging. If they were longer I would give them five stars!!! These games require concentration, thought and attention to detail -- but it is easy to walk away and come back with fresh eyes. In this way, we find the series compelling and addictive--principles of science, math, geometry, music, language, and above all LOGIC earn these games high marks in our home. Not only are they fun, but educational. Our sons both played games of this genre (logic and independent problem solving) and both are highly intelligent according to school tests and SAT/ ACT scoring, a pleasant bonus of our rainy-day enjoyment together. There are hidden obects to find: small pearls, which can be difficult to spot; and objects needed to move forward in the game, relatively easier to find but not so easy that the game can be finished in an afternoon (unless the family is playing together, then we hve completed one game in about 5-6 hours, including breaks). There are plenty of hints and helps for younger players, but they're not needed for more experienced gamers. We purchased these games seperately, and found them at that price to be a great value. This Trilogy set is a stunning value!
Loved it! Played it several times hoping to correct my previous errors & anticipate laying it more still. A very engaging story line as well. I particularly enjoyed the intricacy of the puzzles that offered more challenge & diversity than usual HOGs. However, no matter how many times I try, I cannot get past the chess game in the second adventure. IT IS JUST TOO BLASTED FAST!!! I have tried many walkthrough sites but they can offer no help. I even taped plastic wrap to my screen & tried marking the order with a marker. No luck! At what point does Gamehouse bite the bullet & admit they've made an error? Surely it would not be that complicated to tweak the program! Please help! I finally went on to volumn three but it niggles that I couldn't finish the previous game.
