Another good HOG. This game was not to hard but takes a little thinking. The mini games are fun and fairly easy also. Great beginner game if you have never played a Hidden Object game.

Really enjoyed this game. Beautiful graphics and lots of gorgeous scenes to look at. Interesting, unique puzzles. As others have mentioned, once you collect all the coins in a scene, you can return there by clicking on the scene on the map. I liked that all the items needed for a scene or puzzle weren't found immediately or in the same scene--it made it more challenging, which to me, is a positive. The same goes for the collector's edition locks--usually the keys are found well after the lock appears, so you have to remember where you saw the locks. I'm not crazy about the 'find the pieces of an object' type of search, but it doesn't really take away from the game for me.
I found this to be a great playing game. It is challenging enought to keep your attention but, no unsolveable with a little effort . The map is a plus and eliminates the need for a large amount clicking back and forth.

IT WAS SOME WHAT HARE. THE MAP MADE IT IS TO GET AROUND BUT YOU HAD TO DO A LOT OF BACK AND FOR. THAT WHY I GAVE IT A FOUR THE STORE WAS SOME WHAT GOOD BUT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. IF THERE IS A SECOND HIDDEN OBJECT ON THESE ONE I HOPE THERE IS A LITTLE BET MORE STORE !!!

This is one of the best games I've played. It was difficult without having that edge of downright impossible-without-walkthroughs that many have. I loved that the HOS were all different; some typical lists, some image lists, some puzzle clues. The mini games were somewhat difficult and I did skip a couple. It was a very long game, which was appreciated. I agree with other reviewers, the clues were not very helpful and I prefer when an "area clear" notification is available. But the graphics were great, the story line solid, and the variety of different tasks involved kept it from getting repetitive at any stage. Well done, and recommended.
Wow what an awesome game :) really loved it, with sooo many locations the map was necessary and welcome. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys HOG's

I love long games. I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Thanks for this game, developers. It is quite challenging. *The graphics are good, the speed of loading is good, the scenes transition well. *After a while the maps are helpful in moving from one scene to another. *There is good integration between scenes. One must travel to the original scene to finish major goals. *I got tired of finding fragments of items. Some fragments are a bit obscure. *The problem solving is complex in some scenes and simple in others. I like that. *It seems to me that knowing the next step to take or the next place to go is not logical at all times. *I bet this will be in the running for best game of the year because it is original and strays from the usual dependence on hidden object scenes for developing the game. Congratulations on a well designed game.
Great graphics, nice story. But this is not the only thing that a game should have to be successful. Same old things to do, not a single original task. I had the impression that this game was made in weekend at the seaside. It's just another hidden object game.

While the graphics and music, along with the talk over were done well, this game was too much for me. I have a hard time figuring out what I was to do next. You have to have some grey matter to play this one, more than this old lady has. I am sure it is a great game. I play for fun, not to make myself frustrated. You are invited to an old manor that has been restored, but all the other guests have vanished. You need to find the clues needed to help them. Good luck.
The story line started out like so many others: Summoned to an old house via a mysterious letter and then trapped. But once you get past that ho-hum start, the game play becomes pretty interesting. It seems to me that it's more of an adventure game with lots of puzzles than a hidden object game, but it is certainly a combination of both. There is a good variety of themed worlds, including a ghost pirate ship, an enchanted garden, and an English cottage. There is plenty to hold your interest here. I confess that towards the end when it started getting more complicated I succumbed to a walk-through to figure out where to go next. But the puzzles were pretty easy and fun. Like others, I could not put it down and played straight through. Altogether a very enjoyable few hours--well worth the purchase price.
I really did enjoy this game. I love hidden object games anyway but I do not consider myself that great in these types of games. This game, however, kept my interest throughout its entirety. I would love to play this game to the end and perhaps I will. I could not get something to work so I will reload it again, hopefully soon. In the interim, download this game and enjoy!

Enjoyed this game immensely! It was challenging and made me think. I am especially happy it took more than the usual two hours to finish it. This was a game I looked forward to play, instead of just passing time.

i became very frustrated with this game. i played the casual version. i so wanted to like it. even used the walkthrough, but i found myself having to go to it so much that it took the pleasure out of the game for me. the graphics, music, story all worked for me, but i couldn't get in to the flow of the game. the map was a great idea, but i never could find a rhymn nor reason for where or when to go to the different locations. when i would use the hint button it jst wasn't helpful. how disappointing. i'm glad to read so many positive reviews, tho...
This game was a love/hate game. I loved the graphics/storyline/the challenge but sometimes hated that I really had to figure out the next step!!! If you want to play a game that will keep your interest but really challenge the brain this is it!!! I can truly say that this is the first game in a very long time that I just had to complete w/o stopping...so beware when you start make sure your schedule is clear because you will really want to stay playing... 5 stars++++
This is a nice HOG. There is a lot to do and it's a long game, which I like. It's not really hard, but some of the mini games are a little challenging. It's very relaxing and one I look forward to coming back to at the end of the day. Very nice game.

I really enjoyed this game. The graphics land somewhere in the middle, so they'll do. The games are great even the hogs are not your run of the mill everytime. I found in this game it was easy to keep up with the flow of the game which is a good thing because the hint doesn't tell you or lead you in the direction you need to go. If you lose your place you have to go from scene to scene looking for a clue of what you need which isn't a big thing. You have a map of each scene if you find the required number of coins on that certain page. If you do then you can go to that spot just by clicking that scene. It's a pretty indepth game locking up certain parts of it until you reach bonus level at which time you start getting keys to unlock the locks and progress farther. This game is well worth your time, and as with most if not all you have different levels you can play. Hats of Amaranth Games how about the sequel "Order of Twilight".
I like games that make me think, but that aren't so frustrating with the over-long back and forth to different scenes. Other reviews said the game was challenging, so of course I had to give it a try. So glad I did! Good story, though not that original. Great puzzles. Nice variety of pure hidden object scenes. Great graphics. I just finished the games, on the harder mode. Took me several days an hour or so at a time. Is there a prequel, sequel? I'll play them for sure.
Loved this game after I got the hang of it. Quite long but that was a good thing for me. Lots of different puzzles, some more challenging than others. Liked that the hidden objects were different, finding shapes and pieces instead of all lists. Got frustrated a couple of times but took break and came back and continued. Liked that the map helped you move from location to location. Got a little frustrated when I didn't know if all tasks were completed, then found the counter in the upper right. Story was great and can't wait for a sequel. Good graphics and music. Has great replay value. This will be one of my favorite games.
Fantastic game. Full of mini-games to keep your mind thinking. Not easy games, but challenging and all worthwhile. The story itself is a great maze of adventure and so, so many places to go and discover things. This rates up there with the first Mortimer Becket game and Enlightenus. It's very well thought out and runs very smoothly -- no glitches anywhere. I could go and come for days completing it (thus a long game, which I like). Help screen was useful, though I didn't have to use it often. Highly recommended for anyone who likes Hidden Object games.
