I really like the Cake Mania games, but this one is not pleasant to play. The customers do get angry to quickly, this doesn't work well with the amount of time it takes to complete their order. I wouldn't recommend it.

I was okay with cake mania the very original one, so I decided to give this a try. It starts out sooo slow! I got so bored, within the first 20 minutes becuase it didn't seem to get any harder or faster whatsoever. Waste of time.

I love the Cake Mania games and this one was fun and totally 80's... Not a lot of variety and quite predictable... 99 levels which is always nice, with a few of them challenging...

Cake mania is one of my favorite computer games. However, Cake Mania Max is a lot different. I'm not sure if I like it. I become frustrated as the levels progress. The customers are extremely impatient which means you loose them and have to toss their cakes in the trash.

I was very dissapointed in this game. On one of the icing machines, it looked as if it had been or was on fire with black smoke. I could still use it, but don't know what caused the problem. I have Cake Mania and Back to the Bakery, and they were alot more fun to play than this one. I don't like the characters in this game.

Excellent game. User-friendly, and challenging all at the same time. I also liked the storyline and the graphics. Definitely worth the purchase.

I do enjoy the Cake Mania games. However, I learned with the others that I will never be fast enough to complete one. This is no exception. The oven is set for 1 cake layer, yet most of the customers want 2 to 3 layers. The idea to decorate the interior was neat. However, if you don't earn the "Max $$$" you won't have enough. Aside from the interior decorating, I didn't see any new ideas. The customers get upset same as before, and the cookies and tv are the same old, same old. The game does allow you to choose the untimed version, yet to me that seems like an oxymoron, since this is a "time management" game.

The best cake mania made yet! I have been playing it for two days and have not won it yet. I love the challenge! Thanks!

Cake Mania is one of my favorite Time Management game. I have all of the Cake Mania games and look forward to a new Cake Mania game in the series. So, I was excited to see this one and played it when it first came out a year and a half ago. I'm STILL trying to get to the last level in the timed mode. I found it very frustrating when the characters get impatient and angry too quickly. Then, there's a character that changes the others' cake orders and that's equally frustrating. I actually had to stop playing for several months. The $$ goal is difficult to reach on the higher levels. I love upgrading the shop with new kitchen stuff, but find that I can't upgrade as much on this game than on the other Cake Mania games. I'm sorry to say that I can't recommend this game to anyone. If you want to play an enjoyable Cake Mania game, try Cake Mania 3, Cake Mania - Main Street or Cake Mania - Lights, Camera, Action. These ones are far more fun to play. I hope Sandlot Games (who makes Cake Mania) will read these reviews and make some changes in future Cake Mania games, so that they will be more enjoyable to play.

I have all of these games, love them. With this one I find the only way to avoid complete frustration (not enjoyable) is to play it in the untimed mode. This means that it takes forever to advance the levels. Please rework the customers.

Previous Cake Mania games have had some tough levels but this one takes the cake. It seems impossible just to pass, let alone get an expert score, once one gets to the higher levels. Frustration does not equal fun in my bakery. I am going to quit playing this one for awhile, hoping that when I decide to return, someone somewhere posts some tips or cheats to get through without pulling out my hair.

Like all the Cake Mania games, this one is great too. I love the graphics and charactors. The only thing I really don't llike is it takes to long to load the different stages.I do recommend it to anybody who loves the other cake mainas.

This was the first Cake Mania game I have played, not so sure I will try the others. It was alot of the same thing, level after level. Not to mention the fact, it was very hard to upgrade your equipment, stingy with the money to do so, plus your old equipment would break down, which means you had to spend in order to have it repaired.

I've played all the Cake Mania's and this one is the "same old" needs something to spice it up. It's easy getting to the other levels and to hit "Max" use cookies and the TV to keep the customers happy.

First of all, "I love these games', and have bought all of them...this one is a little the last need more surprises... I was so waiting for more to happen, I don't know what, because you did a good job on giving us lot of choices (on the decorating end) it just lack excitement, it needs change, but not the original idea.....Oooo and it takes for ever to go to the next level...

This game is OK. I usually like Cake Mania but this one seem a bit slow and not all that different. It was like playing the first one all over again. After playing Cake Maina Main Street I thought it would have more extras like that one. The one stove with 4 mini oven was a good idea but I still think if Jill could carry more that one cake at a time this game would be a lot better.

I LOVE the Cake Mania series. It's tons of fun, but there are a couple of issues that, if worked out, would make this game even better. First, the breaking of appliances needs to go away. It's SUPER ANNOYING to work really hard, get superstar level and then you can't even buy anything because the stupid stove that you bought 2 seconds ago is broken already, and it makes it nearly impossible to upgrade all of your machinery, which was half the fun. Also, they need to bring back the tea/coffee/cocoa machine. It was a real stress reliever when someone would come in and all they wanted was a drink. Otherwise, the game is great. I'm glad they got rid of the burger, Asian, flower, and clothing stores. There's just something about making cakes!

This game was too fast for me, the customers got mad really quickly. Also the storyline is boring, I didn't care if she went to prom or not! The other Cake Mania games are much better, this one needs work! Sorry

I like the series, but this one is kinda too repeating. Almost same throughout 100 levels, especially last levels. I can't seem to max out all upgrades even though I get all superstars in 100 levels. Only story mode. Very fast and require some thinking in choosing upgrades. They do affect your performance, I recommend getting a topping machine, TV, and wallpaper as soon as possible, as they will max out your revenue. Don't need the cookie machine. Will love it more if I can max out upgrades, cause it really bugged me, partially because machines break all the time and it's costly to fix them. Anyway, game's not really recommended.

This is definitely the hardest in the Cake-Mania series. I enjoy that they went back to basics and had us just make cakes and wait on the customers. I am one of those obsessive types that have to finish all levels on expert and still am working on one level for the second time that I have played the game completely through. I find this to be almost too challenging and a little frustrating in that I don't think it is possible to upgrade everything by the end of the 100 levels (Another obsession of mine). I would recommend the game to those who want a serious challenge on the timed mode. I haven't tried it on the relaxed mode but it seems that others find that more enjoyable. Good luck!
