I have played all of the build a lot games, this one is my least favorite. Mainly because you would have one level that was super easy only to have the very next one, extremely hard, to the point that it took several attempts to get through it. The dragon came out way too often to destroy your homes as well.

i've played all the Build-A-Lot and they're all superlative. This one is no exception. It starts off easy and quickly becomes challenging. I generally play the game through a couple of times -- its very addictive.

The title says it all. I like Build a lot games but this seems more for children

what a charming game. i love this series of games. my 9 yr old nephew and i love to play all of them. i know he'll love this one too. so, it's the same basic premise. you build houses and other buildings to grow communities. this time the communities just happen to be fairy tale communities. how cool is that. Humpty Dumpty is sitting on a wall in one of the cities. i kept waiting for him to fall off. it's fairies that are the workers. you build a dwarf foundry to get less expensive materials. it's just too cool. i love the whimsical graphics. and the music. definately one for keeps...

I loved this game, as another wonderful addition to the Build-a-Lot family! It was quite challenging, at first, and I had much enjoyable play!

Nice slant on these type of games. I like the fact you start building without having to play mini games like match 3, etc. Definately a kids game and adults may find it a relaxing alternative to sudoku and crosswords.

This incarnation of the Build-a-Lot franchise brings us into the fairy tale construction business. Witches, wolves and frog princes all seek your assistance with their building needs. This is a cute, original twist on the how-quick-can-you-build genre. The only complaint I had was that all story choices (regular, expert and quickplay) featured levels that were too easy and very difficult; often times the wildly easy followed a level that took many attempts to complete. That seemed a bit odd to me as gameplay is normally a progression from mild to intensely difficult.

I like fairy tales, and I'm not too ancient to admit it. Which is why I decided to give this a try even though I find time management games on the stressful end of the relaxation spectrum. I'm also a newbie to the Build-a-lot games. So with all those clarifiers, I found the game charming, with pretty and fairy tale-ish graphics. I also appreciated the well-done tutorial and instructions as you proceed through the game, giving newbies a chance to get up to speed with a TM game. The first levels were nice and easy, then the action starts to pick up, with building different kinds of houses, painting, upgrades, planting trees, chopping them down, putting out dragon fires, and so it goes. Since this is a TM game, there is a timer, which would have been helpful for newbies to turn off, at least in the earlier levels so they can get their game under control, but I guess it wouldn't be a TM game then. If you like magic, fairies, fairy tales, hobbit houses, and the like, this is well worth trying.

AFTER PLAYING THE MORE EXCITING VERSIONS OF B A L, THIS ONE IS A BIT TOO SWEET, AND BORING. YOU GET TO BUILD FAIRY TALE-LIKE DENS, MANORS, COTTAGES WITH VARIOUS FAIRY-TALE CHARACTERS AS MAYORS OR SOMETHING. BUT THE GAME IS MISSING THE CLATTER OF THE HOUSES BEING BUILT AND THEN THERE'S THE STUPID DRAGON THAT SHOOTS OUT FIRE BALLS AND BURNS UP YOUR HOUSE.

Very similar to the other build a lot games out there - enjoyed the fairy tale theme. Would recommend the hour trial unless you really love the building type.

I have purchased all the other Build-a-Lot games as they are fun and make you think. This one is just plain stupid and not well thought out.
