I love this game so much. It's so amazing! I was so interested in playing it when my dad introduced me to it a long long time ago. It's how I became the amazing speller I am today, no joke. I love it soo much. I remember I was excited when I found out there was a 2nd one coming out about a few years ago, I think. It would be amazing if they made another one. Thanks and keep putting/making new games. ;D

I love this game for me and my kids. Reading the little comics inbetween the levels has my child asking what the words mean and then I see him using them in the game. If I asked him to study a vocabulary list he would not be thrilled, but Bookworm Adventures has done it for me. Yeah for sneaky learning!

I think this game was designed for me! I love words and I loved the Bookworm game as well. This game lets you put your brain to work in a fun way. The only little thing that I have to complain about is that the dictionary needs to be checked --it won't allow normal words like "DILEMA" but does allow odd words that aren't even in a dictionary...I know, because I checked. But other than that it is GREAT! The mini-games are awesome, truly a wonderful game for everyone! POPCAP hits another one out of the park!

This is a great game, it is very different from the other word games that I have played. I love all the monsters that you have to fight with your words. This is a game I play over and over again.

My daughter started playing this before I did, and I heard her giggling and wondered what she was laughing at. She recommended I tried the game. I laughed so much the first time I played it through I could hardly play the game. I've become totally addicted. It is certainly one of the, if not the, most original word game on the market and delightful to play. What I particularly like is that it's so relaxing to play as there are no time limits of how long you take to come up with a word. In fact it's almost worth delaying your move to get a funny comment from Lex on how long you're taking to make it! The graphics are wonderful and the game play interesting enoiugh to stop it from becoming boring, because you can choose various companions and secret weapons to foil the enemy along the way, keeping the game fresh. I do wonder if the game is craftily engineered so that the enemies respond to Lex's attacks according to the level of the player and I'm tempted to play as an idiot (not difficult for me!) to see if it does adjust itself to the level of the player to make it a fair game. If this is the case then it gets six stars for thoughtfulness. I highly recommend that anyone who like word games tries the whole series and would be very surprised if you didn't come away from it smiling.

Great graphics, great storyline, imaginative locations and characters. The power-ups make sense, the mini-games are worth the price of the game all by themselves, and best of all, it's not a timed game, so you can really sit and think and come up with words. There's a sequel that's also excellent, similar enough so that you know where you are, but different enough to make it worth buying. There are some new versions of the game as well, with themes that are more limited in terms of storyline. I've only bought one of those but I love it too. Have to agree with others that the themed ones should be bundled into one big game, but that's a quibble.
