this is the worst game ever. as others have said you end up in circles all the time and can't get out. it really could use a map feature that didn't require you to find an exit from current location. couldn't be bothered to fihish and deleted before i was done.

This was a true adventure game. I enjoyed that you could move about as you wanted, However it took alot of thinking and go back over previous areas. There is Alot to look and try to remember when you find somewhere you need to use an item. The notebook came in handy with that. The Graphics were beautiful and I look foward to more games of this type.

I found the game to be a lot of fun, it wasn't really a hidden object game, more of an adventure game where you needed to find hidden objects. The mystery was fun to solve, but you ended up running around in circles without knowing what to do a lot. The game is impossible to solve without using hints and a walk-through. Beyond that, I thought it was a lot of fun!

This is a huge game! The biggest I have ever downloaded from Gamehouse. Besides the real looking graphics and people, you basically just go around in circles wondering what to do next. Nah! It was a free download so I decided despite all the bad reveiws and only 2 stars out of 20 reviews, that I would try it for myself. Well they were right. Maybe you will like it, I hope so. I didn't.

What a let down after waiting for the long download. The story line is a good one but the game play is too boring and frustrating. You spend a lot of time just trying to figure out how to get stuff done and looking around. Would be better if there was more direction in the game so you can get on with solving the mystery.

this was awful. I spent 10 minutes and all I felt was that it was 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back. It went nowhere and gave me a headache. can't give less than one star.

As a rule I like to finish a game even if I don't like it. But this game had me so frustrated that I stopped before I explode. I would go to 1 room and try to get to another room only to in up back in the same spot that I just left couldn't get to the basment and get back to the front door without going around and around at least 6 times or more. This seem to hold true for all of the different seens. I stopped after I went to farm house never did get the pitch fork. Bless anyone who finish this game.

oh my word. i don't even know what to say. it was cool how this looked just like watching TV. but that's all that was ok with me. the music drove me NUTS. i had no clue what i was doing AT ALL. i was ready to scream trying to find places in the house-i got stuck going round and round most of the time. i never could find the bedroom when carol wanted to go to bed. that purple bathroom had me CRAZY. i got stuck in there for a long time. i couldn't wait to delete this game. i sure hope u have better luck with it that i did.

I usually don't write reviews, but after reading the reviews on this game I had to. Everbody shouldn't be so hard on the game maker. This game was an original, never played anything like it. Very thinky and difficult. At the beginning of the game it tells you to try not to use your guide. "Use it" over and over, it makes the game so much easier to understand. Keep in mind it's not based in our country. Everything is real looking not cartoonist. If your familiar with other countries words, like torch, for us thats a flashlight, that will help allot. Please everyone, never let music, sound or sound effects drive you nuts. Go to options and mute, mute and mute or turn off your speakers. I do it all the time. Life has enough frustration and games are supposed to be fun and the only thing in a game we have control of is sound. "MUTE MUTE"

I think this game is very, very under rated. I liked the fact that you had to search, think and ponder. It IS challenging. I liked this game because I could put myself into it. Here I am, in a strange place, someone is dead, these are the clues, how do I solve this? I haven't played more than twenty five minutes, but, I have been entertained and the game has keep me wondering...hmmm...what do I do next, where should I search, what did I miss? I almost didn't download this because of the bad reviews but, I felt that it was necessary to download this BECAUSE of the poor reviews. I'm glad I did. I'm using my last credit of the month to purchase it.

In this game you take on the role of Carol Reed who receives a call from Christina Falk, an emerging artist, calls on her for help regarding some recent and strange occurrences. Before she can meet her however, Carol receives word that Christina has been found dead. Did she kill herself, or was it the work of someone else? If you have never played a Carol Reed game such as myself but if you've played any of the Nancy Drew games as my title states, the game play is pretty similar as far as navigating in this game. You have a notebook at the top of the screen which shows you the tasks you have to complete by going to different locations and "talking with people" as the characters do talk in this game. If you get stuck, you click on the tasks and it will provide you with a hint. You also collect inventory items which go up at the top of the screen as they are not down at the bottom like most games. There is also a map that you can click on to go to the locations. Well usually this type of story in a game is right up my alley so to speak but I don't like this type of navigating in a game because I find myself going over the same things and A LOT of navigating to nowhere. I did somehow manage to click on one of the locations to talk to one person and get a cell phone for the inventory however never used it. The other location to go to the museum kept telling me I couldn't go there until tomorrow but I won't give any details because it would be a game spoiler. Had I known it would of been this type of navigating, I wouldn't of downloaded this game. This is also a larger file game 475 MB and to my surprise only took a few minutes to download. So if you've ever played the Carol Reed games and/or Nancy Drew and like this type of navigating in a game then you will probably enjoy this game which I hope you do. If you are like me and have played a few of the Nancy Drew games as I mentioned never played any of Carol Reed's game and don't like this type of navigating in a game, will probably not like this game. As always however, give it a whirl and decide for yourself. Definately not for me. I could only cope with this for 20 minutes as I did try and stick with it but couldn't stand it any longer so finally had to stop the madness, cut off, and pull the plug already.

One of your worse games. The concept of pictures instead of beutiful hand drawn scenes was the only interesting thing about this game. This game is a dud.

I downloaded this despite the low stars (it was a free game) and I've just played it all the way through. Whilst it is definitely NOT a HOG (it's more of an action game) I enjoyed it. Yes, some of the next steps are a bit out there, so you do need to use the notebook for hints but this tells you exactly what you need to do so it's really not all that confusing, just not necessarily the most logical. Overall an involved, relaxed game, with only a little 'mild peril', and everything you borrow has to be returned so it would be okay for young teens or younger with a decent attention span.

I did not even play for an hour. The graphics are beautiful, but getting around is very difficult. Clues given are worse than useless. Don't bother with this game.

I've been hooked on hidden object games for awhile now and found this to be a totally different experience. Yes, it was frustrating to get stuck in some of the rooms but if you paid attention you could figure it out. The notebook was vital to play the game. Refreshing to not just have lists of objects to find and click on. You have to become part of the story and think. Was a little disappointed with the ending. There could be more to it. All in all - great game!!

I tried several times to get into this game, but the running around from room to room, going to the left, to the right, next room, straight, no left, no back into the hallway ... whoa ... I'm dizzy. And what did I accomplish ... absolutely nothing. What they call hints are really just goals. If you can't figure it out, round and round you go with no help. Didn't like this game, won't recommend it. Sorry.

I think this was the worst game ever. Going around in circles constantly and getting no where? This was a total waste of time. It bit. Horrendous. I wish I didn't even have to give it ONE star.

As a HO addict I thought that this looked really promising. How mistaken was I? It is a terrible game, so bad that I actually gave up on it and looked for something else. There are no hints, you go round and round in circles and end up back at square one. THe main character is very annoying and tbh, it is all just a waste of time and money. Save your money and spend it one something much more worthwhile.

I love this game. I have found the Carol Reed Mystery series to be my favorite games, unlike any others I've seen. They are hidden object adventure games, made with all photographs, no dark, blurry drawings. Clear, bright photographs, Amazing, interesting tours, around unusual corners of Sweden, artists homes and workshops, in every corner of the house, including closets and bathrooms. Sometimes getting around can be a challenge, but no moreso than any other adventure games I've played. Sometimes I need to use a Walkthrough, particularly for some of the challenges, but again, no more than in other adventure games I've played. I can't recommend it any more highly.

ok guys, you heard it here first: this has to be the WORST GAME EVER CREATED!!! It it HORRIBLE. Never ever have I come upon a worse game than this. I know that your curiosity is up. Check it out for yourself. I can't wait to hear other reviews. I can't even put it into words. Gamehouse, surely you preview the games. I guess someone was asleep at the wheel on this one!! If you can stand this game long enough to get to the cigarette shop...OMG!!...I am at a total loss for words. OMG!!! The ONLY reason I gave this game one star was cuz I HAD to click deserves a minus 10!!!
