If you enjoyed the first two, expect more fun! It's the same gameplay, with revisions to the building and ordering menus, plus new buildings and random events. As the first reviewer said, there are more clicky things, but as the second reviewer said, they are bonus items you don't NEED to click on. I can understand the frustration of the third reviewer. There are lots of things the tutorial doesn't tell you -- like houses aren't the only way to make money; stores and bakeries also earn income, and some of the random events can pay off well. You can see if buildings earn or use income by mousing over them in the Build Menu. I think you can sell buildings that are damaged but not ones that are destroyed -- but yeah, they don't tell you that; that's just been my experience. If you haven't played this series, it's Resource Management, Time Management, Strategy, and Action. Different levels require different tactics depending on the Objectives. It's not graphics-intensive. I find it fussy about clicking in exactly the right place. As discussed above, the tutorial is not comprehensive. It's not necessary to play the first two before jumping into this one, but the first one in the series was slower to introduce new buildings, and ramped up the challenge more gradually.

I have enjoyed this series from the beginning and look forward to when games can change and evolve when the new versions arrive, but this one did not do anything for me. I gave it 2 stars because I like the series, but this was not one of my favorites. This one seems to have been made unnecessarily complicated with a bunch of extra pick ups and various links that open from odd areas on the screen. I tried to hang in there expecting that it would become more enjoyable, but as the game progressed it just seemed to become more clicky and annoying. I so wanted to like this game, but I deleted it and don't think I will play it again :(

If you liked the first two of this series, you should be happy with this one also. I know one reviewer disagreed with that, but the game progresses very well especially after the first 10 or so levels. Get ready to multitask! There is some more clicking in this version, but only if you need the bonus items. The most difficult thing is to make money, but most levels don't need cash. Just a good starting strategy to sell (or repair/sell) existing structures, use that $ to get workers, and then build lumber + quarry.

while i find it difficult to get trophies in this game, i still enjoy playing it. building farms, houses, mines, barracks, etc... all to support your growing village. sending heros out to fight.sometimes they win. sometimes they don't come back. i like that i can go back and try to beat my previous score. this is a game you can play over and over and not get bored. definately a keeper...

I found this game overly difficult, not like it's a thinky, challenging game but that it seems to have may different aspects. Some of which are very difficult to overcome. For example, earning money is next to impossible when you get up in levels, then you finally start making money and you get attacked... I had about 5 guard towers or equivalent around my houses and it didn't help AT ALL, they still got destroyed! And there's no indication regarding how to stop an attack, if you can help it to end without as much damage and then you need money to rebuild the houses and while you also need money to repair other things, the houses are the most frustrating because they're the only way to MAKE money! THEN you think (like in Royal Envoy) you can sell things that are destroyed but you can't always and I can't seem to figure out what the rule is about that (I know you can't do anything while it's being attacked, but then sometimes I still can't sell a destroyed building and sometimes I can). The long and short of it is that I hoped I'd like it but I found the tutorial lacking and the gameplay frustrating.

Like all good time/resource management games, this takes quite a bit of planning before you start building. Some levels are insanely difficult, others are ridiculously easy. This game is a less involved version of Caesar or Pharaoh, and the time-factor makes it just challenging enough. Levels always play within the same parameters, so even if you've unlocked all buildings, when you replay an older level, it will still be limited by the buildings that were originally available to it.
