I played this one because I saw there was recently released a part 2 to this. The first 7 levels of this wasn't too bad for me, actually pretty good cause if you don't meet the goals in the time allotted you can still continue. Just way too much going on for my taste having to build things, constantly watching supplies, sending heroes to go and fight however was kinda neat. I did pretty good until I started level 8 and I was able to meet all the goals except for having 100 citizens (I was only able to get about 60) as I tried just about every thing as the homes were upgraded as much as possible and then ran out of places to build so I had to stop the madness and cut this off. I'm sure it's a great game for those of you where TM games are you main game play, just way too much going on for me. I give this 3 stars as it was OK. I like Royal Envoy and Roads to Rome MUCH better.

I really liked this game. You got to do alot of different things. You really did'nt have to race against a clock to complete all of your goals overall it's alot of fun it has good graphics, the music is good and the buildings are all original looking. I hope there will be a sequel just a flat out good fun game.

Nice little build your town game. Frustrating at some of the higher levels with the amount and frequency of monster attacks.

Fun game, but too short. Kids liked it more than I did, though, but all agreed it was too easy to win every level.

I am a big fan of the Be A King games and have played this one to death too, it's in my top 5, the game play is way addictive & fun. Note that I am not into medieval stuff - knights, middle ages, etc. have NO interest to me, I just love this game!! The graphics are not fantastic (but still charming) but it's really fun and totally addictive, there's so much going on - creating a village with various buildings, with side quests & heroes fighting roaming marauders... The swordplay and, well, killing takes it out of my kid-friendly range!! but it's definitely a must-try for (older) TM fans!

I really enjoyed this game (and its sequel!). Fast moving and challenging. The tutorial is excellent - each screen introduces a new aspect of the game strategy. Found it more addictive than Royal Envoy, and more challenging than Roads of Rome. Key factor is aggressiveness of foes (animals, monstors, trolls, etc). The wizard gives good advice - pay attention to need for castles even when mage towers are part of objective. It is more efficient to upgrade a property than to build a new one - or even repair one. Be careful about repairing when a property is under attack - you may lose workers. Side quests are often profitable and benficial in other ways as well. Buying materials in larger quantities can save you money - or find yourself short of gold! Consider options carefully. Great game!
