I enjoyed this game. It was cute and simple. A great game if you like ot watch TV while you play. Its not that involved really so its good for playing something to which you needn't pay attention.

At 9.9MB it's a really small download and I was surprised to see it ran on my Win 7 x64 system. The object of this game is to grow your ant colony to 5M and "take over the world". You do this by allocating your resources among four different categories. 1) Scout Ants, which forage for food 2) Nursing Ants, which grow the number of ants 3) Engineer Ants, which grow the size of the nest 4) Soldier Ants, which fight invaders for food and defense. Sounds great so far. The game seems old and the graphics are very rudimentary. Almost no animation, just static pictures. In a way it reminds me of old-school resource management games like "King" and "Hamurabi" except you're growing an ant empire instead. Lots of potential. Unfortunately the actual gameplay turns into a giant snoozefest. After allocating your resources you click "Go" and... almost nothing happens. You look at a static picture and messages flash with things that may have happened. For instance, your scouts may have found an apple core or a butterfly may have flown by. The worst part is very little happens each day. It becomes so boring after clicking each day over and over that it seems like you really are watching an ant colony in realtime. Complete snoozefest. Pass on this junker. Maybe somebody will take this idea and make a real game out of it.

I found this game extremely boring, as all you do is sit there while your ants gather food and fight boses. I literally quit 5 minutes into the game, then deleted it. I wouldn't waste your time. Yes, don't waste 10 seconds downloading it (that's how small the game is).

This is a game that starts off fine - nice and simple. It gets you used to the different types of ants and how you balance getting food with growing the colony and expanding the space in the nest. But instead of becoming more involving as you level up it just stays simplistic. For instance, the many different "environments" you can move to seem to boil down to three - indoors, outdoors and outdoors-with-enemies. With patience, you could probably "beat" this game having not explored very many of its features at all. It does not even very educational. You learn very little about real ants. A missed opportunity by the developer.

This is a very simple and relaxing game. I love to play it before bed, or if I'm up in the night and can't sleep. It is peaceful, the music is relaxing, and there aren't any anxiety-inducing aspects to get worked up about. If you are looking for a challenge, look elsewhere. If you want a great wind-down-before-sleep game, this is a winner.
